My ride preload was far below my needs so I beefed it up with these springs and hope I find time before Spring to service forks and upgrade the springs and that it improves my ride.

I put in the racetech gold valves and the stock springs don't cut it

what is the correct replacement spring for a 1997 cbrxx?
A shopper on Apr 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! There are 3 options available for your CBR1100XX. To determine the correct spring for your needs, you have to consider your weight, any weight that has been added to the machine and the type of riding you do. If you are a heavier rider you want to go with a stiffer spring being a higher number. For further assistance please contact out sales department and they can help you calculate for the correct spring. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. Each spring rate has two part numbers. What is the difference between the two part numbers. Ex: part numbers 92079 and 92073 are both 0.95 kg/mm springs

I'm trying to find the right spring rate for my 2000 Suzuki bandit 600, any idea which one is correct?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. Technically, all of these spring rates are correct for a Suzuki Bandit 600. If by correct you mean the original factory spring rate, I cannot find that information anywhere in our records, or online. What we can help you with, is asking you a few questions over the phone about the type of riding you do and if you have any additional weight on the bike. This can determine if you should go with a soft spring rate, a intermediate spring rate, or a hard spring rate. For quality assurance please contact one of our sales/customer service reps at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help.

What part number is for the F4i and which is for the 600RR. They are listed together with no reference to which is for what bike. I need the 1.0kg/mm for a 2005 F4i.

I am looking at springs for a 2005 Honda CBR600F4i. Your site lists two part numbers with the same spring rate. What is the difference between the two part numbers? Ex: part numbers 92079 and 92073 are both 0.95 kg/mm springs
Josh on Nov 23, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! We apologize for the confusion, but 92073 is for the CBR600RR and 92079 is for the CBR600F4i.
Hi,

How much stiffer than oem is this? What ng/mm is the oem?

Thx,
DD
null on Aug 10, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately the OEM manufacturers will not provide us with the spring rates of the OEM springs. Depending on your model, these Race Tech Springs will range from 0.8 to 1.0 kg/mm.
You list several different spring rates for my bike. 1995 kawasaki zx1100e. However I have no idea whet the stock spring rate is & cannot seem to find this info anywhere. Do you know the stock spring rate? Im looking for about 1 number higher than stock as the stock springs are a bit soft for sport riding. Thx.
null on Jul 29, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question. Sorry Kawasaki does not supply us with their machine specs. That kind of info you will find in a repair manual or a from Kawasaki certified technician
You don't list the spring rates for Race Tech forks springs (but you do for their shock springs) and your part numbers don't correlate to Race Tech part numbers. I know what spring rate I need. Please list the spring rates on the product listing so I can order the correct item. I don't need someone to tell me what spring rate I need, I just need to know what the spring rate is for the part numbers listed.

compare to Progressive Suspension 416's

can you give any recommendation or benefit of this product over that by Progressive?
VoyagerPilot on Jan 8, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question. Both companies offer a great product. Race Tech will usually offer fork springs with a single rate, allowing you to change fork spring rates easily.

Excellent set of springs
Installed these to replace the far too soft stock springs in my 1986 fz600, so far they are night and day better. To be fair the spring rate doubled to match my portly 200 lb self...

Good Springs
Great riding springs. Installed in my Goldwing 1500. Went with the .90 and they ride great. A little stiff but feel great in the corners. Only issue is a known one. The springs rub the inside of the fork tube and squeek. I have read it will go away with time. That is fine I just turn up the radio :) I will would buy them again.

Great and Easy to Install Upgrade
I ride a 2002 Suzuki SV650S and I weight 250lbs. I went with the 1.00 kg/mm racetech fork springs and used 15w fork oil. The bike rides so much better now that the front end is tuned in for my weight. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is not happy with their stock squishy suspension.

solid
put these on my 99 600 bandit. nice upgrade. i went with the stiffest/heaviest weight which was 2 sizes stiffer then the weight chart recomended, glad i did i like stiff.
NOTE. install requires a tubing cutter to cut the spacer tube. i think 1 3/4 " might have been 2 " 3 out of 5 stars though id give 4.5 if the spacer tube came pre cut for my bike.

Race Tech is the best!
My 2000 Kawi ZX-6R has seen about 70k miles and I don't think the previous owners ever serviced the forks. Once I had these new Race Tech Springs in I immediately felt the difference! The old ones were worn down and the front end was super soft, now I feel some bumps a little more but now I can actually feel the road and the performance is much better.

Wonderful change for the better
Put these in my 97 VFR when I replaced the seals. Wow, what a difference. The bike feels brand new up front. Much more stable and the front end stays up instead of diving every time I touch the brakes.

Worth the money for a better ride!!!!
I installed these on my 2006 Concours. I am very satisfied with the improved ride. No more nose diving in the front end. Much stiffer ride and my handling improved. I am not a light weight rider so the added stiffness is nice. Racetech's phone support was awesome too. My only disappointment was the spacer material was PVC and the long length of the spacer.

Improved control, less chatter-feel
I replaced the OEM springs on my 2005 GSX1300R hayabusa with these Race-techs after I killed 3 oil seals in 2 years. It's been over a year and I haven't had any oil seal problems since. I'm not a hard-core racer but some of the roads in and around Oakland that I commute on have some pretty good "Dellums" or pot-holes. The hayabusa has been described as being undersprung anyway, so these babies had some higher tension, which my 210lb weight required. I did notice a significant improvement on poor road surface and I haven't bottomed out my fork-travel since I got these.
