Hello, I have a 2007 CRF250R and weigh 140lb and I am 5’7”. I rude track. What size suspension would you recommend?
Daniel H on Jun 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Daniel, thank you for the question. Stock spring rate is 5.2 kg on a 2007 Honda CRF250R. Depending on what you want (soft or stiff), you can go up or down a few. Based on your weight, I think 5.3 might work for you. A lot of forums and spring rate calculators state this. While it may not be 100% accurate and may vary depending on the rider, it is a start. I'm a 278 pound rider, on a 1988 Kawasaki KX250 2-stroke.
The bike came with a aftermarket shorter rear spring on it, the guy I bought it from was short, I'm not.
I like to bring the bike back to oem height, but I want the spring strong enough to hold my weight for trails.
Can you help me?
