EBC brakes have always been a quality product. Since I'm choosing to use their CSK springs I thought it would be a good idea to mate them with their clutch plate counterpart also. We'll see how they preform.

This will be the second set of these clutch plates I have installed on this bike (1999 Suzuki 1200 Bandit w/135,000 miles). I use this bike for commuting, day riding and long distance touring. I got 75,000 miles of trouble free life out of the last set and I am well satisfied with their performance.

how many are included in the pack
Lester on Feb 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! the quantity included in each pack will vary on what model it is being ordered for. Not all machines are the same unfortunately. If you can provide your model information we would be more than happy to check into how many plates you would receive in the kit for your machine. If ordered for the correct year, make, and model then you would receive the correct amount of plates. Please get back with us on your model information or feel free to order since you would get all the correct number of plates needed once your machine in entered.
Can I use 100% synthetic oil (rated JASO-MA and states it is made for wet clutches such as Mobil 1 or Maxum) with this or the Kevlar clutch kits from either EBC or KG clutch factory?
Frank on Apr 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! We do not show EBC stating you are not able to use full synthetic with these plates but they do state to use the manufacturers recommended oil with these plates. As for the KG clutch factory Kevlar kit Synthetic oil should be fine to use as KG does not state to not use Synthetic oil with their clutches. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
Does this kit come with 5 plates just wanna make sure?
Tad S on May 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! The kit will come the same amount of plates that your bike originally came with. Keep in mind springs and pressure plates are not included in this kit. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. I'm a big guy 350 lbs would this clutch help me solve my problem?
JOSEPH W on Jul 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Joseph, thank you for the question. We would like to hear more about your problem. What exactly seems to be happening? Do you feel like it is not engaging well or is not capable of carrying your weight? This kit will help with engagement, but like John mentions heavier clutch springs would help out also. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. Will the set also have the equivalent of the 31A-16321-01-00 superseded by 4H7-16321-02-00 for my 2009 XV250YCR? It should be marked for correct placement. Thanks

Is there a plate that has rivets in it that sits amid the others? My 77 cb550kfour does not have it and nor do the replacement kits. The techs say I need it and that will keep my clutch from slipping.
Michael H on Jul 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Micheal, the plate you need is part number 22322-390-000. This pleat goes directly in the middle of all the plates. what tools do i need?
A shopper on Jul 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. It may vary depending the year, make, and model of your bike. I recommend a screw driver to use as a holder to move the brake lever out of the way. You're going to need take off the "screws" that hold the clutch cover in place. Again, this may vary by model. There is some bolts holding the pressure plate as well. Not sure what size they are on your specific machine. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. Michael B on Jun 22, 2019

How many friction plates come in this pack?
Joe on Aug 13, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This product is model specific. This is a complete set of fiber plates.
Does this product come with all plates needed to replace entire clutch? Also is this product better than the KG clutch factory pro clutch disc set?
Daring Dan on Aug 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! this will only be a complete set of the friction/fiber plates, no steel plates are included. Both brands are only friction plate replacement kits and will work about the same as they are not performance kits and just replacement plates that can last longer than stock plates.
I have kick start slippage in my kids TTR90 so engine crank not engaging and firing want occur. It will grab every now and then, so compression seems fine. The clutch plates look worn, but Im not absolutely sure that's the culprit. The kick start shaft, springs and clips all look ok. Ive tinkered with the adjuster(by shift lever), to no avail. Any suggestions?

Excellent option to bring life back to an old clutch.
I have about 7500 miles on these clutch plates and hav had no complaints with them. They hold all of the high rpm pulls I've given them, as well as daily commuting. It's just the frictuon plates though and not a complete set of friction & steel.

Replaced oem on 2006 suzuki boulevard m50 800 cc
Pre install: My 2006 suzuki boulevard m50 800 cc was starting to slip in 2-5th gear under heavy load and throttle. No vibration in the bike or clutch lever so I suspected the steel plates were ok (they were fine). The friction point was only contacted in the last 1/4" of clutch lever play. I was warned that non-oem clutches make it difficult to find neutral. I haven't noticed that so far
Replaced using ebc clutch plates and new ebc springs (15% stiffer than oem).

Install: old clutch plates appeared half worn compared to new. Parts went in very easily, torqued the retainment bolts to 7 ft lbs as well as each bolt on the clutch cover to 7 ft lbs. Changed oil to a pure mineral based oil with no synthetic as a bike shop recommended this for the first change after clutch replacement.
Post install: friction point is about half way out the clutch lever and the clutch lever is only slightly stiffer to actuate.

Very happy with the price and performance of the clutch kit. Would defiantly recommend this clutch, but absolutely use the stiffer aftermarket springs to help the clutch engage better and prevent slippage after continued use.

Quality clutch plates
These clutch plates are made from quality materials. They fit my 2002 Honda Shadow 1100c perfectly. After I watched a youtube video installation was easy, about a 45 minute job. Along with replacing clutch plates on my bike I also replaced clutch springs. The fixed my problem. The end result was no more slipping at higher highway speeds. Yes I recommend EBC CK Series Clutch Plates

Clutch plates on f650gs Dakar
Only have a week on the clutch plates so far but seem to be working great. The actual clutch work was very easy. Getting to it requires som time and patience as much of the left side of the bike has to be disassembled.
