Eva Star Malabanan is a 13 year-old off-road desert racer based out of San Diego, CA. At a very young age, Eva was diagnosed with Selective Mutism. Thanks to her racing background (being involved in off-road desert racing ever since she was a baby), Eva has found her happy place behind the wheel. What better way to find full concentration than behind the wheel of a full blown race-car based off of a Polaris RZR?

Eva’s Transition to the “Big Car”
If you couldn’t tell based off of her driver’s resume, Eva is fast and she knows how to win! At only 13 years-old, Eva’s competed against some of the industries fastest youth drivers and even against adults! The RZR 170 has proven time and time again to be a huge stepping stone for some of today’s top racers such as Seth Quintero and is no exception for Eva Star Malabanan. Just like in any other sport, you must move up into a bigger and more competitive league or “Class” once you prove yourself and that’s exactly what Eva Star has done thanks to the unconditional support from her parents Tracy and Sean Malabanan. The time has come! Eva’s stepped into the full-size Polaris RZR 1000 and it’s time to get on the gas! But wait! This isn’t just any Polaris RZR… This Polaris RZR XP1000 was built and previously raced by Jagged X Racing, who are known to be “the most dominant team in UTV racing history.” Check out the build break down below!
13 Year-old rips her Polaris RZR XP1000 at Superstition
Eva’s been getting countless hours of seat time at home but it never hurts to change things up and learn some new terrain. Luckily for Eva, Plaster City and Superstition are only about an hour and a half away from her hometown so the entire crew (Mom, Dad, Brother, CHANCHOFILMZ, Marley the Dog, and Larry from BikeBandit) set out late Friday night to get some night time driving experience and to beat the heat on Saturday! This weekend was a ton of fun and marked the debut of the NEW wrap designed by BINK Designs.
The trip was a success and proved to be a lot of fun. The car ran flawlessly and Eva’s confidence with her new car skyrocketed to an all-time high! Eva is preparing for her next race, the BITD Jagged X National Desert Cup which will take place September 25th, 2020 in Laughlin, NV. We are super excited to see how Eva does at this upcoming race and will make sure to update you guys.
