We dialed back time and went Vintage Racing with Micah Davis! Hell on Wheels hosted this nostalgic event at Lake Elsinore Motosports Park and brought out all types of riders for a great day in the dirt. Micah ended up taking home the 1st place trophy, riding the BikeBandit “Bullet”, 1974 Husqvarna 250 Mag built by Tom Contino. The day started out with a beautiful sun rise and the addictive smell of pre-mix that we all love. More and more people showed up by the minute and before we knew it, it was time to go racing!

For a lot of people, this was the very first time in a few months that we’ve been able to attend a public event or race. It felt great to get out and about again and watch some good ole racing! For Micah Davis, it was his first time back on the bike in 2 months but that didn’t stop him from being on the podium all day long. He proved to be fast early on and was battling with Nick Lapaglia every moto. Micah would go on to capitalize on an early mistake by Nick on the final moto where it really counted and never looked back.

THE CULTURE

There’s something so unique about an event like this that keeps people coming back every year. People from all walks of life show up to have a good time on their machines. You’ll find working class men and women riding dirt bikes, cafe racers, custom’s, Harley’s, quads, and even three wheeled machines! There’s a class for everyone at the Hell On Wheels events and the motorcycling community is really embraced as a whole. Run what you brung! Just Show up and throw your helmet on! People don’t care if you finish first or dead last. Everyone is having a great time and enjoying life.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE

We can’t wait for the next Hell On Wheels Event! A lot of us here at BikeBandit want to participate next time around and rip around the track like everyone else. It’s truly amazing to see the motorcycle community with riders of all skill levels and all ages come together and set aside all of the negativity going on in the world for a change.
