BikeBandit Garage: How-to Plug a Tubeless Motorcycle Tire at BikeBandi

Product Details

Kastar's Valve Stem Fishing Tool makes it so you can easily pull the valve stem into place without your fingers getting in the way of the valve stem hole and pull through process. It also makes the work on laced or spoked wheels easier, since you do not have enough clearance to allow over-the valve stem threaded types to pull through.
  • The 3 functions of this tool make valve stem and inner tube jobs faster and easier
  • Kastar’s valve stem puller threads into the valve stem rather than over the valve stem

Don't Get How to Use It
The product comes without instructions, which would seem to indicate that it is self-explanatory. However, with a tight-fitting 3.25 x 19 front tire I was unable to get the tool to spin onto the valve stem once the inner tube was in place. After three tries I gave up and did it the old-fashioned way (though also difficult on such a narrow tire). Also, the tool requires removal of the tube valve, while I prefer to have a little air in the tire to prevent pinching it while levering the final tire bead into place. This can be dealt with by reinserting the valve and adding a little air once the stem is in the hole -- if you can manage to get it there!

    Great Tool
There is nothing like the right tool for the job, and when you're changing tires yourself you can't forget the new valve stem. This thing makes valve stem insertion a non-event. Fantastic.

I should have gotten one years ago,
very easy to use and with the heavy sidewall tires it really saves your fingers.

    Excellent tool!
If you've ever changed a tube, you know what a pain it is to get the valve stem through the hole in the wheel. That's taken me 25 minutes before, just getting that done. This completely eliminates those hassles by threading into the inside of the tube's valve stem (with the valve removed) and you simply pull the stem through the hole. Makes it a 20 second job instead of 20 minutes. Wish I'd thought of this myself! If you've got a bike that uses tubes and don't have this, stop what you're doing and get one, it's worth it.

    Great little gadget.
If you've ever changed a tire on a trail or side of the road, you know why this tool is so great. It's used to pull the tube valve stem through the rim and hold it while you fumble around trying to get the rest of the tube and tire on the rim and lined up and inflated. Especially invaluable when you are alone and don't have two buddies helping you. Ask me how I know.....
