I have put 30,000 miles on my Tourmaster Transition IV and really like it. My brother has the Tourmaster Intake Air 3.0 and he really rates it too.

I have owned a previous tourmaster jacket. This seemed like a good value. I am a snowbird and ride warm weather year round. My experience with Bike Bandit has been favorable in the past.

Breathability with protection. Live in a hot climate and needed a jacket that would do both. I have enjoyed it thus far. Could use more pockets though.

Would you recommend this Jacket for doing adventure riding in central americas hot tropical weather?
Adan C on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you won’t find a cooler jacket with pad protection.
What kind of back armor does this jacket have? What is the D3 back pad?
Rodger B on May 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question Rodger! The back armor of the Tour Master Draft Air Series 3 Jacket is a triple layer protector with flexible movements.  The D30 impact protectors are thin, flexible armor insert that locks hard impacts. Overall pleased.
Overall a good value. Pluses light weight, and rain proof liner. Minuses ...it seems a little difficult to get on and off with the liner in it. Had a snap button that holds the liner to the cuff of the sleeve brake the second time I had it on and off.

Rode through 110F and 36F. Nice summer jacket with some small issues
Have put 20k miles on this jacket since April 2018 and have had no issues. Only complaint is the inner pockets need to be a bit bigger to hold my iPhone. It would also be nice if there were external pockets to hold spare keys etc. The best part is that it is so much lighter than my Transition IV and a lot cooler when at a standstill or walking around. But the Transition feels cooler when underway especially after a short stop which cause me to sweat a lot. Once underway the air blowing through the vents cools me off better than the Draft Air. The constant flow of air through the Daft Air tends to dry the sweat which reduces the cooling effect. Have used both jackets in 110F temps and I almost preferred the Transition IV strangely enough. Definitely preferred the Transition at 36F and in pouring rain!! But with the inner windproof liner and appropriate warm clothing underneath the Draft Air wasn't that bad. I have had no real design issue with the jacket as it is Tour Masters usual high quality but the velcro tab that keeps the neck closed needs to be a bit longer. And I don't have a fat neck - 16 1/2"

happy
originally ordered a large and had to return it. My mistake guess I've lost more weight then I thought. Return process was painless. Reordered a medium which fits just fine. Needed this jacket to replace a really old mesh jacket.

Hot day jacket
This jacket fits well, and love the mesh, wind blows right through, much less work than the 8 zippers to cool off my first gear jacket. Wife thinks it looks sexy. Only draw back is the very small zipper, it’s a bit difficult to get it started with my big fingers, and concerned about the zippers durability with my having to fumble with it.
