The Tour Master Transition 5 Touring jacket serves multiple purposes as no two days or roads are alike. From a cold early morning ride to a humid afternoon ride, opening up the Pipeline vents on the chest, underarms, and back maximize airflow. Should your ride go from warm to downright wet and cold, the jacket's Rainguard barrier, along with the waterproof zippers on the Pipeline vents, and the removable insulated liner will keep you dry and cozy. For further weather protection, the Transition 5 jacket also features Tour Master's patented Aqua-Barrier Under-The-Helmet Hood deploys from the collar. Worn over your head and under the helmet the Aqua-Barrier hood will prevent rain from seeping down the back of your neck. So far so good
I had a Transitions 2 jacket for a few years and it served me well It seemed to ventilate a little better than this one. The jacket would have been a 5 star if it would have been a little cooler over 80 degrees and I have not used the jacket in the rain so I can not rate how that works but the other one worked for that and this one should also. There is an old saying that you can do a few things well most of the time but not all things well all of the time. I will try the jacket with my cooling vest next summer and see how that works.

EXCELLENT Jackey FANTASTIC SERVICE
I first bought a size large, I am 6'2" and 180 lbs. and it was both too short in the sleeves by several inches and too tight. However the jacket was sent in two days which is fantastic service. I sent it back UPS and two days later received an x-lg TALL and it fit PERFECT. It is snug with the liner and the sleeve length is perfect. Without the liner, there is plenty of room and with the provided liner you can ride in cold weather with a t shirt and be warm. The high collar blocks wind and eliminates the need for a scarf except in the coldest weather. The construction is TOP NOTCH. The hidden pockets are endless and it is cut beautifully. Looks very sharp and professional. HIGHLY recommend it. Just order a size up for a good fit UNLESS you are very slender. Also the TALL size it good as the sleeves will cover all the way even in any riding position without the length of the jacket being too long. GREAT BUY and even greater customer service

The arms were all wrong for me.
I cant knock the jacket for its style or features. It just didn't fit ME well. The arms were way too restrictive. It looked good on line so ordered it knowing I could send it back for a full refund if I didn't care for it.

Great to have tall sizes.
I’m new to Biking and this is my first choice. The jacket is high quality and the pockets seal very well sealed against rain and wind. I was so happy to find the jacket came in tall sizes. I chose to get the coat with the safety colors and glad I did. It will take some time to break in and I’m happy with the sizing. I expect this will last many seasons.

Fantastic Jacket!
I was replacing an older Tourmaster jacket which was 8 years old. This time I paid attention to the sizing chart and ordered the 3x tall which was recommended. Until I tried this jacket on, I had no idea how poorly my old 2X really fit. This thing is true to the size chart, and fits wonderfully. I am 6'4" 265lbs with a 51" chest. The sleeves on this are awesome, form fitted, and the cuffs stay at my wrists no matter what I do, even reaching above my head. The Transition jacket is windproof, and warm. My first ride with this was on a 32 degree day in March, and I was perfectly comfortable. The fit, construction, and overall quality of the jacket is excellent. Zippers are well made and smooth. Pockets are plentiful, and comfort is superior. If you are still reading this, just order one, you will love it.

Tourmaster transition 5
Great jacket. Lots of versatility. Should work for all riding conditions up to about 75°. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy for textile jacket

Fantastic!
This is my second Tourmaster Transition jacket. The first is 12 years old and still going strong, but some of the buttons are finally starting to wear out after all these years and the color is faded. I’ve worn it in some pretty crappy weather conditions and temps ranging from 26 degrees to 120 degrees (Death Valley). The series 5 has some nice upgrades to my original Transition, and it’s a no-brainer for me to go with an amazing and versatile jacket that has proven to me that it’s a reliable riding partner. If you want all-weather versatility and nice comfort in a jacket, I highly recommend the Tourmaster Transition series!!

Great cold weather riding jacket.
At 27 degrees I stayed warm. It does a great job of keeping me warm and protected. And it's comfortable.

Pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised by this jacket. I havent used it in warm weather yet, but I used it below freezing and in the rain and it performed great. Cant comment on how well it will hold up. I really like the way the armor stays in place.

Tourmaster always a good value.
Comfortable & warm at low 40s. Snug fit as compared to Pivot 3 it replaces. Hand warming pockets could be deeper. Pulled out the liner still warm in traffic at 75°. Only chest and arm vents open. The sleeves could be 1" longer but armor is where it should be. I have long arms.
