Have had good luck with these in SW US sun. Other brands deteriorate rapidly. These will tend to last me about 3 years. I don't commute or travel with these. I use a half-cover when on the road as it packs smaller. Recommended.
Stephen R on May 14, 2017
Seriously, it's a motorcycle cover. Protects the bike, fits well, has breather flaps. Can't beat it.
James A on Mar 31, 2017
Had these in the past. They last about three years, which is as long as any cover I've owned has lasted. It's outdoors four seasons in Northern Illinois, so...<br />Also, if for some reason it is damaged and the fabric is still in good condition, it can be mended.

What size is good for a 2000 Honda Valkyrie Interstate ?

Hi! I'd like to know if the Dowco Guardian Weatherall Motorcycle Cover will fit a 2000 Kawasaki ZX12R & a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R750 so that the cover will be low enough to wrap around the front & rear tires until touching the ground so as not to expose the tires & rims? What other similar products from competing manufacturers would you recommend? I heard of motorcycle covers that have optional alarms that you can add. Do you know anything about these & if so can you give me a description or a web address to where this information can be found?

Also; Do you have any H.J.C. Scratch Helmets in an extra small size that's black with white, grey & yellow graphics & that has a spring loaded retractable smoked sun shield?

Thank You Kindly for Your Time
Hardy
Big H on Aug 17, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes the Dowco Guardian Weatherall cover will fit your bikes. Here is a sport application for proper fit, part # 19384. The optional alarm is part # 19379. The sport cover is large enough to cover the sport bikes wheels. The HJC Shock helmet is no longer available thru the manufacturer. The helmet may still be around. Unfortunately has been replaced with the new Ramper edition helmets. No the Ramper helmet is not available in the colors you desire. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.

Lasted as expected
We live in West Texas. Lots of sun and heat with the occasional down pour. It has lasted about three or four years which is well worth the money.

Highly recommended!
This cover fits snugly, and the heat shield and windshield protector definitely work. I've had covers in the past that have cause condensation to form in cold weather, which isn't a problem with this cover. If you want the best, look no further.

Roomy, easy on & off
With a small garage and a big stable (once and future racer) I didn't have room for the Gold Wing when my father gave it to me. While bikes can live fine in Western Washington outside the advantages, like less rust and a dry seat are obvious. So, a cover.
I have used other covers with varied results - generally too hard to install at night, or easily slips off. The Dowco has neither problem. A snug elastic sewn into the bottom seam expands easily over bags, bars and more and then snugs in. The only concern is high winds. The generous cut may flap excessively, causing premature wear. Time will tell.

Lasts OK but has weaknesses
I've had a couple of Dowco Guardian covers as well as a cheaper cover. I use them for year-round outdoor storage (mid-Atlantic) in a driveway underneath trees and with some direct sun, so fairly harsh conditions compared to a garage or carport. The Weatherall has provided very good protection, and the main (black) canvas-like fabric has been durable enough to last more than two years. The primary weakness has been the silver heat shield panels which have deteriorated faster than the main fabric, and the seams joining the panels which tore after little more than a year (though I never use the cover immediately after riding.) I'd like to find a cover like this that does without the heat shield panels -- and just live with letting the bike cool completely before covering it. Then I think the cover could remain useable for three or more years. It's still better than a cheaper cover I tried which tore up badly after less than two years. As far as sizing, my current Weatherall is a Large, and it fits OK on a BMW R1150R with saddlebags and small windshield.

Size M covers my Honda 400 (stock) snugly but completely. Just installed it about an hour ago so I can't be of much more help than that at this time. Appears to be well made.
