Nothing but good reviews for this suit. I have a 2 piece pvc suit--it leaks. I also have snowmobile pants and a separate jacket with protection--they also let air through. I wanted a warm one piece suit and this is the only one outside of an aerostitch with reviews that said it never leaked.

I'm 5 11"and 180 should I get a medium large or extra-large?
Robert B on Feb 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi: I am 5'11", 184lb, 42 chest, 34 waist, 32 inseam. I bought a large and it was perfect for my needs. I have worn it with long johns/turtleneck underneath, and it was a little loose and a little long in legs, just right on arms. For a long ride, I have worn motorcycle pants with knee pads, and a summer riding jacket with armor underneath, and it was a little bit tighter, but I was still able to flex extremities. I wanted more protection on a 160 mi. on-pavement trip. I will probably get an armoured shirt to wear under it because wearing a jacket under it was a little bulky. It would be perfect to wear over work clothes for a commute. I would have preferred that it had some armour in it, but the price was so awesome I'm happy to wear some underneath it. I am very happy with the quality and utility of this purchase, I would buty it again. To answer your suggestion, I think you should get large.
I am 5'7", I weigh about 250 lb. My inseam is 29". What size would you suggest I get?

How high is leg zippers?
Johnny P on Aug 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’m 6’1” and weigh 223 lbs. I have the L suit and it fits perfect. The leg zippers come up 36” right to my hip joint. While there is no armor in the suit, it is top notch for riding in the cold. I just wear some Bohn body armor underneath (or kevlar jeans with padding, you get the idea). Definitely helps extend my riding season here in WI!
How would I determine the size I need?

Does this item include a hoody in the collar?
Chris on Aug 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This one piece suit does not have a hoody. The one piece rain suits have removable hoodies, and are also insulated.
is the suit good for cold weather
Doug on Jul 20, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the Firstgear Thermo One-Piece Motorcycle Suit is made of 120-gram polyester insulation to keep you warm and cozy.
I need information about sizing. I'm 5'10", 185 lbs, 30 inch normal inseam. I normally wear Large in T's and Polo's but XL in sweatshirts. My waist size is 35/36. For an over-garment suit like the Thermo One-Piece is Large adequate or do I need XL? Are leg and arm lengths longer on XL or is XL just for increased girth?

Warm and comfy
It’s warm and reasonably easy to get on and off, considering. The legs unzip far enough to keep boots on while putting on/off, though the heavy Velcro along the length of zippers can a bit of a challenge. I’m 5’10”. Wear jeans 28x34. It’s quite roomy once it’s on but kinda tight getting it on my arms and shoulders. I thought the legs would be too short but they are fine.

Too Warm for me
For me it was too warm. A removable liner and air vents would make this a more versatile unit. The fit was good. I think it would be comfortable for a long cold ride though.

Keeps you warm
I have the large, Male, 6' tall, 165lbs 32" inseam, legs are just long enough to cover my mid length boots while seated on a sport bike. The thigh and butt area of the suit is a bit baggy but I didn't buy it for the looks, I have rode 30 to 60f degrees @ interstate speeds and the suit works great and as long as your moving doesn't get too hot. Now I just need gloves that work as well as the suit does.

Great buy.
Great for an inexpensive suit to keep you warm. At 220lb and 6 ft an xl fits good. It's not as nice as most of the competition in the 1 peice touring suit game but it is a fraction of the cost. It could use a styling update and some armor but I imagine the price would go up.

Like wearing an arctic sleeping bag with legs.
Super warm and very comfy. Not a great fit for me as I am short and round but despite the legs being almost a foot longer than I need the ankle gathers let me bunch the legs and zip them all the way. Riding in 40 deg weather I was quite warm.

great price, very warm, no armour
Hi, I am 184 lb, 5'11", 42 chest, 34 waist, 32 inseam, I bought a large. The fit was perfect: loose and roomy so I could wear a variety of stuff underneath. I have worn it with just long johns and turtle neck: it was a bit baggy. I have worn it with armoured motorcycle pants and summer jacket underneath: it was a little tight. It would be perfect to wear over work clothes on a cold day.
It has long zippers on the legs which make it easy to get on over boots. It is extremely warm. I got through a 160 mi trip at 20 deg comfortably (also used a heated vest and heated gloves for part of the trip) and I was toasty. Above 40 degrees this would be too warm. It has no armor, but is well made and comfortable with many large pockets. I would buy it again.

Excellent product. Filed all expectations
Size wise I am 6,1 and weighs 180 lbs. I bought an XL and it fits great. Even though I am on the leaner side it didn't feel bulky. easy to get on and off, comfortable to ride in and keeps me warm with no extra warm clothes underneath down to about 38-40 F. With warm boots and heated grips to go with it I can now ride pretty much year around in Virginia. Very, very happy with product.
