About Our Best AMS Motorcycle Tires

More Tread for Your Buck

When your ATV is slogging through six inches of mud, you need tires that will grip it and rip it without a second thought. If your tires don’t have the tread and surface area you need to tackle the terrain, or they’re simply too worn down, find the replacement AMS motorcycle tires you need at BikeBandit.com. We make it easy to find the wheels that fit your machine. Start your search by entering the make and model of your ATV, and find the tires you need to keep rolling.

Decoding Size Specifications

If you’re new to ATV riding or powersports in general, you may be wondering what those three numbers on the sidewall of the tire represent. Typically, you find them written like this: 200/40-13. These are the size specifications of the tire, and you should familiarize yourself with each one before picking up a new set. The first number in the series is your tread width, expressed in millimeters. The second number in the series is the percentage ratio of tire width to height. For instance, a 40 means that the tire width is 40% of the height. Finally, the last number is the rim size in inches.

While you have some play in the tread width, it’s important that you maintain the proper aspect ratio (the second number) when ordering new AMS motorcycle tires for your ATV. While you may expect the difference between 50 and 55 to be negligible, it is actually quite significant. An ill-fitting tire can hinder your ATV’s performance, handling and safety. Be sure to consult your owner’s manual for the factory recommended tire size for your machine before placing your order.
