Bridgestone Exedra Max Motorcycle Tire

Product Details

The reason why EXEDRA remains the most popular choice for Japanese cruisers sold throughout the world is because it's based on many years of experience in developing tire structures, tread pattern designs, shapes and compounds, and the ability and knowhow to apply that technology to creating the optimum tire for each model. EXEDRA MAX is the culmination of such knowhow. Honed and developed on harsh road conditions throughout the world, it's designed to meet the performance needs of all Japanese cruisers.

The specific rubber compound on Bridgestone's Exedra Max Cruiser and Touring tire lasts for miles and miles. The tire profile's unique wide shape supports touring-type riding while reducing fatigue, and the belt package construction provides linear handling even for heavy bike and 2-up riding. The rubber compounds and tread patterns enhance water evacuation and both dry and wet grip.

Bridgestone Exedra Max Cruiser and Touring Tire Features:
  • State-of-the-art pattern designs created specifically for cruisers
  • Central grooves running around the tire provide enhanced water evacuation properties, creating excellent wet grip and riding comfort
  • The grooves to the left and right provide ideal rigidity and linear handling
  • The center of the tread has a wide contact area to increase traction and wear resistance
  • EXEDRA MAX is available in an variety of sizes to fit all Japanese cruisers
  • Available in three basic structures: radial, bias and belted bias
  • S-rated for speeds up to 112 mph; H-rated for speeds up to 130 mph; V-rated for speeds up to 149+ mph; W-rated for speeds of 168+ mph

Again only 500 miles. Waiting for overall mileage before I can give an honest opinion. Seems to hold corners good.
Not a bad product. I've only put 500 miles on them as to date.Seems to stick to the road good into the corners. Hoping for the mileage I was getting out of my 888.

Long lasting and well built Tire. I drive 600+ miles a week and this is the only tire that I have found that last longer than 3 months. This tire will last me 6 months worth of driving in the hot Florida heat and hot roads.

Meh...On my CTX1300, these tires roll about 9000 miles. About the same as tires that are much more expensive.
They do get noisy, when banked over, as they wear.

When I bought the bike new this is the tire that was already on it. I replaced the rear tire at about 10,000 miles. The front tire will go about 11,000 miles. This is a great tire, that is why I am choosing to order the same one.

I am a short rider that is fighting for every inch lower I can get. I currently have a Metzeler 200/50-17 on my street glide. it rode good but got terrible mileage, less than 5k.
We do a lot of trips with lots of weight. What tire do you recommend? I see that a lot of tires come in 200/55-17. Is there that much difference in height?
Wayne G on Oct 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Try going with the Michelin Commander II Tire. Customer reviews claim these tire wear very well. As for the tire size 200/50-17 vs 200/55-17, the 55 will be slightly taller than the 50. The way tire sizes work is the first number is the width in millimeters, the second is aspect ratio, and the final number is the wheel size. For example a tire with the size 200/50-17 is 200 mm wide, the height is 50% of the width measured from the wheel mounting point to the top of the tire, basically the side wall, and it will accept a 17" wheel. I have a Yamaha 950 tour. Would the letter H effect the speed?
Randy P on Aug 11, 2018

can any tire use a tube?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes any motorcycle tire can use tubes, also if you have spoke wheels its necessary to put a tube on the tires. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. the tire I need is for Vulcan 900 classic 2012. Spoked application. Do they need tubes? even if the tire says tubeless?
Raul D on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Raul, needing a tube depends on the type of wheel you have, in your case you have a spoked wheel so you do need an inner-tube regardless of the tire. Mag wheels or billet aluminum wheels do not require a tube. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. What speeds are "V" rating tires good for?
aircrewman on Sep 19, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The V speed rating is rated up to 149 mph. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.
I own A 2008 Yamaha V-Star 1300. Stock tires are Bridgestone Exedra G722G 170/70B16M/C75H. I am only getting about 8000 miles out of a rear tire. I have been reading up on the Exedra Max and it states it gets better milage. Tread pattern appears to be the same as the G722. Factory specification calls for only the Exedra G722G, are the Exedra G722G and the Eredra Max interchangeable?
Jeff on Sep 16, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes the tire is comparable. The speed and load indexes are identical. 8,000 miles is not bad for a motorcycle tire. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.
Im getting ready to order a set of tires, the pic above shows the bias, my order defaults radials (which I need)...do you have a pic of the radials according to the Bridgestone web site...I want to make sure the tires placed in my order are radials...regards

Mean Streak on Sep 7, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes, in the drop menu the listing specifies radial or bias construction. Unfortunately we do not have a sample image of the radial tires. We verified with the supplier and the tire is a radial construction. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.
The tire needed is for a 750 Honda Shadow 2007 with spoke rims. I'm pretty sure it needs a tube tire (?) the tire size is 160/80-15 M/ 74S Do bnot need to spend alot as it is not a High Speed canyon racer.....sugestions?!
Stan on Aug 28, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Tubeless tires can be installed on spoked applications. The tube can still be installed. This tire is available in the needed size. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.
