Bridgestone Exedra Max Motorcycle Tire

Product Details

The reason why EXEDRA remains the most popular choice for Japanese cruisers sold throughout the world is because it's based on many years of experience in developing tire structures, tread pattern designs, shapes and compounds, and the ability and knowhow to apply that technology to creating the optimum tire for each model. EXEDRA MAX is the culmination of such knowhow. Honed and developed on harsh road conditions throughout the world, it's designed to meet the performance needs of all Japanese cruisers.

The specific rubber compound on Bridgestone's Exedra Max Cruiser and Touring tire lasts for miles and miles. • State-of-the-art pattern designs created specifically for cruisers
  • Central grooves running around the tire provide enhanced water evacuation properties, creating excellent wet grip and riding comfort
  • The grooves to the left and right provide ideal rigidity and linear handling
  • The center of the tread has a wide contact area to increase traction and wear resistance
  • EXEDRA MAX is available in an variety of sizes to fit all Japanese cruisers
  • Available in three basic structures: radial, bias and belted bias
  • S-rated for speeds up to 112 mph; H-rated for speeds up to 130 mph; V-rated for speeds up to 149+ mph; W-rated for speeds of 168+ mph

I am a short rider that is fighting for every inch lower I can get. I currently have a Metzeler 200/50-17 on my street glide. it rode good but got terrible mileage, less than 5k.
We do a lot of trips with lots of weight. What tire do you recommend? I see that a lot of tires come in 200/55-17. Is there that much difference in height?
Wayne G on Oct 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Try going with the Michelin Commander II Tire. Customer reviews claim these tire wear very well. As for the tire size 200/50-17 vs 200/55-17, the 55 will be slightly taller than the 50. The way tire sizes work is the first number is the width in millimeters, the second is aspect ratio, and the final number is the wheel size. For example a tire with the size 200/50-17 is 200 mm wide, the height is 50% of the width measured from the wheel mounting point to the top of the tire, basically the side wall, and it will accept a 17" wheel. My'03 Goldwing has a 180/60R16 rear tire, can this size be replaced wit a 200/60R16 on that rim?
Sandy B on Aug 4, 2019

What is bias tire mean ?
phillip m on Sep 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Phillip, thank you for the question. Bias refers to the tire ply construction. A bias ply tire body utilizes ply cords that extend diagonally from bead to bead. Typically laid on a 40 to 60 degree angle with successive plies set on opposing angles to form a criss-cross pattern. phillip m on Sep 16, 2019

I wouldn't say that it's normal, in fact I would describe it as the indicator that either you need some shock/fork maintenance or the tire size is a rather large. What is the manufacture year on these tires if I order a set? I want to make sure the manufacture date is fairly recent.
Neal K on Aug 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Neal, thanks for the question! We do not stock large amounts of tires at our location so most tires are shipped directly from the tire manufacturers closest warehouse to you. This would be the freshest stock they have on hand that is being shipped from these locations. We, unfortunately, do not have a way to verify which date you would get on your tire. All tires sold by BikeBandit.com are well within the manufacturers suggest shelf life for tires. the tire I need is for Vulcan 900 classic 2012. Spoked application. Do they need tubes? even if the tire says tubeless?
Raul D on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Raul, needing a tube depends on the type of wheel you have, in your case you have a spoked wheel so you do need an inner-tube regardless of the tire. Mag wheels or billet aluminum wheels do not require a tube. I own A 2008 Yamaha V-Star 1300. Stock tires are Bridgestone Exedra G722G 170/70B16M/C75H. I am only getting about 8000 miles out of a rear tire. I have been reading up on the Exedra Max and it states it gets better milage. Tread pattern appears to be the same as the G722. Factory specification calls for only the Exedra G722G, are the Exedra G722G and the Eredra Max interchangeable?
Jeff on Sep 16, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes the tire is comparable. The speed and load indexes are identical. 8,000 miles is not bad for a motorcycle tire. Arkansas or Bust!
I had a blast cruising around AR on these tires for the last 5 days. They handle well on all those switch backs and hills.

Easy. Reliable. Hassle free.
My order came quicker than I thought it would. And I really like the fact that I didnt get any harassing phone calls or e-mails to buy something else after I made my purchase. I make it a point to mention Bikebandit to my friends when we are talking about our bikes.

Being an analytical type, i give them 5 stars, when comparing cost versus performance. Great grip, great price, would definitely buy again.
