Dunlop Sportmax Q4 Motorcycle Tire

The Dunlop Sportmax Q4 Motorcycle Tire is street legal racing performance tire designed for the track where you need to lean into the turns. The Q4 allows you to lean over up to 62 degrees that more than any other street legal tire on the market today. So if you demand grip simply because you need it, the Dunlop Sportmax Q4 is your next tire.

 Features
 • The user-friendly Q4 does not require tire warmers, and runs at street pressures, eliminating the need for chassis or electronic adjustments.
 • Rear tire compound contains carbon black like Dunlop’s racing slicks for maximum grip.
 • Jointless Tread (JLT) technology uses a continuously wound strip compound to optimize stability, flex, and grip across the rear tread profile.
 • Carbon Fiber Technology (CFT) uses carbon fiber reinforcement in the sidewalls for exceptional cornering performance, braking stability and feel.
 • On Tread Branding—raised letters built into the sidewall.
 • This purpose-built track-day tire achieves lean angles up to 62 degrees*, more than any other street-legal tire Dunlop has ever made.
 • Made in the U.S.A. Only Dunlop makes sport tires in America.

Amazing grip

These tires are the next best thing to GP211's. They last abit longer, but offer the same basic stick. the only difference is the rubber race compound may be slightly different, based on experience, I noticed how the 211's wear and ball up on the edges, some tearing etc, the Q4's look the same but the balling up is very different as well as the tearing. Otherwise, good cost and well worth it.

Because they are Q4's why wouldn't i choose these? they are as CLOSE to a race slick your gonna get! If you ride fast and are hard on your sportbike these are a must! you know why? BECAUSE THEY WILL HOLD UP

200+ Club

AFTER DOING RESEARCH, AND IVE HAD DUNLOP TIRES BEFORE. I FEEL THIS IS MY BEST CHOICE.
Dion W on Apr 18, 2019
They are to be used for non-competitive trackdays on a track specific bike. I think they would be wasted on bike for street use.
Dwight R on Apr 16, 2019
I have really enjoyed this tire. It has held on to the road in every curve I've taken so far. Even in the rain. I will buy another one.

Used as a replacement for Dunlop Sportmax Q2 which are not made anymore.
So far so good. Still trying to scuff the new tire coating off of this new race tire. Hopefully the wet payment trial will be successful. My mechanic warned me the tire may hydro plane under heavy rain conditions.

a very great trackday tire
this is a great bang for your buck trackday tire! I'm an "A"/"B" group rider. when i ride a bunch of "A" group sessions the tire full a little gushy after about the 7th or 8th lap. if your strictly an "A" group rider pushing racer pace every session. you might want to just get slicks or d.o.t's? i've been riding the Q models since the Q2's series i might be a little bias.

bought for trackdays
I read a lot of reviews about how well the Q4's perform. So I decided to pick up a set for my zx10r track bike.
I'm a fast pace intermediate rider. I'm happy with these tires. Nice even wear, great grip, consistent traction cool or hot.
Although when brand new I got on to the track, thought I was going really slow, and on the first corner it washed out on me. So be extra cautious on the first couple laps out there.

Great track day tire
Ran these on a CBR1000RR at Road Atlanta. They are a super track day tire, especially if you don't have tire warmers. Always warmed up quickly, stuck to the track, gave me instant confidence to push harder/lean farther. They even performed well on a wet track after a brief thundershower. That said, they wear extremely quickly. I had to flip the back tire after one day and the rear tire was toast after the full weekend at the track. Keep in mind RA is heavy on right turns. Highly recommend for the track but it would wear too fast for my tastes on the road. Highly recommended as a special use tire.

Excellent tire!
Excellent tires. Using the on a 2017 Yamaha FZ10 for a track day at Buttonwillow Raceway in California. Temperatures ranged from hi 70’s to hi 80’s throughout the day. Used the bikes pressures as suggested and tires worked flawlessly! I’m a upper B ridder. Did not use tire warmers and was a bit suspect if they’d perform as advertised? I was so pleased, I’ve immediately ordered another set.

confidence inspiring grip
First track day since last year when I was using the Q3's. Iv'e had good luck with the Q2's then the Q3's. The Q4, although only one track day so far, seem like they are better earlier but that may be because they warm up faster, sorry I can't say why they seem to grip better early on. Once warmed up they are really confidence inspiring. I had the best track day in all my experience with the Q4's, I went with Track Time out of Washington and they keep the number of riders down so it is possible to work on skills and develop speed. With this outfit the track is almost always open with no traffic jams, so you get to put on speed continuously and try out new tactics.
