I've ran this tire on my KLR 650 for many years and many 10s of thousands of miles and never had a problem. Longest wearing tire I have found for a dual sport bike. Now that it's time for new shoes on my 950SE, I thought I would give it a try on the front of it.

I have always been satisfied with the performance and value in IRC tires. Motorcycle and bicycle. I have used the GP 110's and wanted to try something more aggressive on my 1999 Harley Davidson MT500 in Utah deserts.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The front tire in a 3.00x 21 will fit the KLR. The rear tire in a 5.10x 17 will be the size you need. I have a 1972 Suzuki TC90. Would this be the correct or closest to original tire?
RealtorEd on Jul 7, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question! The front tire was a 2.75-18 and the rear is a 3.0-18.
Hi, I am interested in purchasing a set tires, possibly the IRC GP1 tires. I have a 72 suzuki ts 185 and have the stock size tires 3.00-19 on the front and 3.50-18 on the rear. I seen that they are available in my rear size but not my front, and the only one in a 19 inch rim was the "2.75-19 rears" and was wondering if i could fit those on my front. I also seen the early post in the Q & A about the only main difference was the load range and was wondering if the 2.75-19 “rears” would have a high enough load range to work in the front. My bike weighs about 220lbs and i weigh about 190lbs. I was also wondering what some tires close to mine would be in the metric size. Say; 2.75-19, 3.00-19, 3.25-19, Fronts and 3.50-18, 4.00-18, 4.10-18 Rears

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! You will need to measure your rim to see if you can put a skinnier tire on the front. For further assistance, please contact our sales department at 888-339-3888!
I have a 1986 Honda Xr250r, currently running a
110/90-18 Rear and 80/100-21 Front. Which size do I need with the GP1's?
null on May 18, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! 4.00x18'' on the rear & 3.00x21'' on the front tire.
Is this 3.00-21 GP-1 tire legal for use on the street with my Honda XL600R? How about the rear size GP-1 (4.60-17)?
null on Jul 19, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for writing in! Yes, both of these tires are DOT approved.
Other than the obvious size differences, are there any other differences between the front and rear tires? If the tire size for my front tire is labeled on your site as a rear tire, will it still work?
Thanks
null on Jun 10, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question.

The main difference is the load rating. It is not recommended to put a front tire on the rear and vise versa. Some people with smaller machines can get away with it but we can only recommend what your machine calls for.
what is the speed rating chart (H) ?
NeilBird on Jan 12, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question. H = a max speed of 130 MPH
Whats the equivalent size of 140/80-18
simond on Mar 22, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question. The inch size conversion from the metric size 140/80-18 is: 5.50-18.
Conversion to GP 1 tires

My KLR 650 has 90/90 -21 and 130/80-17 size tires. IRC GP 1` tires come in for example 17 - 3.00 and 17- 4.60. What is the conversion to the size tires and tubes that will fit my KLR 650?
Whattires on Sep 28, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! A 90/90-21 would convert to a 3.00-21, the 130/80-17 would convert to a 4.60-17 your actually right on it, for the tubes you would stay with the same size as the tires your running.
what size tires should I order?

I have a 2007 KLR 650 with original rims and tires. I plan to replace the tires with IRC GP-1 tires. What size tires and tubes to I need to order that will fit my KLR 650?
Whattires on Sep 27, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! With the stock sizing on your machine that would be a 90/90-21 for the front and 130/80-17 for the rear. You would want to stay with the same sizing for the tubes as well.

They say they will not work for my bike!
These tires are so much better than the replacement offered by Honda! They say these skins won't fit my 1971 Honda Trail 90. If your front wheel doesn't have side to side runout and the rear wheel axle is at the mid point of chain adjustment or further rearward, you might be just as happy as I am with my GP1's! The front one is tight, but they work and look great! Wish they came in 2.75" X 17" size, though...

Very Nice Tire
Great tire on a KLR 250 for commuting and play!

Cornering is smooth and confident on the road, gravel grip (slightly lower psi) is excellent, they are quiet too. Haven't had them off-road or wet... yet...

I've only got about 300-400 miles on them so I can't speak to the longevity, but they still look new (and sweet!)

Awesome tire
I got an IRC on my 1981 DR500 and I don't think you can get much better for the price; [...] I haven't put it through all the tests yet, but so far this tire is feeling like the right choice. Recommend to anyone.

comfortable tires
I ordered the tires, tubes, and tire irons from BikeBandit becouse when I called their personnel were able to tell me which size tires I should order for my KLR. The IRC size numbering is different from the original tire.
