Why did you choose this?

OEM for my VL800

I chose these tires because they are made in Japan by a company that has been in business since 1926 and the tires have had good reviews. The price is also very palatable.

OEM tube type that I needed. Thanks Bandit!

OEM equipment which gave me good service, so it seemed wise to stay with factory installed tire type.

Right fit for my 2007 Boulevard C50T, wanted whitewalls and the OEM tires that handle and wear great

Original equipment have served me well on my 09 Suzuki M50. The old tires aged out rather than worn out.

I am looking at buying the IRC GS 23 tires for my suzuki vl 800 because it says it is the OE for my bike. The only difference I can see is mine say tube type on the tire where the tire on the web site says tubless. Does this matter? I have spoke wheels which is why my tires are tube type correct?
null on Apr 3, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Contrary to what the staff says, IRC makes the GS23 in both tube and tubeless. The 2005 and newer VZ800 use tubeless, the VL800 uses tube type. As someone who has put over 145.000 miles on two VZ*00s since 2006, virtually all of that on the GS23s, I know what I'm talking about. It's hard to find the tubeless ones, but worth the search if you have a VZ800.
Does this come with tubes and valve stems?

Comfortable Ride
After reading all the reviews for aftermarket tires I decided to go with the stock IRC's my Suzuki Boulevard came with, Glad I did, comfortable ride ,great grip and so far wearing good and looks good with the stock whitewalls that I had a problem finding with other brands. . No complaints

Returned to the original
I had IRC tires when I bought my bike and when I had to replace the rear tire after 16K miles on it, I picked a different brand because the sales person said it would last me longer than the one I wanted when in fact it only lasted 6K miles less than the original and read reviews from other buyers how long the IRC tire lasted them so I came back to the IRC.

Best tires
These were OE on my '06 Boulevard. I ran nearly 20k on the set. Reviews of the Metzlers suggested ME880s as a good replacement. Not. Or at least not when compared with the IRC's. With the Metzler's wearing out after 8k, it's back to the IRC's. Fair price and great equipment as I look forward to many miles down the road.

Will buy again and again!!!
Must say, if you want a tire with an aggressive tread line and a very clean sporty look, along with high level of quality at a fair price, then look no further than these IRC tires. Had a pair on my bike when I bought it, and although dry rotted due to poor storage conditions and not enough riding by previous owner, these tires still awarded my 2500 miles of stable and enjoyable riding. Just bought another set here and the enjoyment and handling of my bike are still unmatched thanks to bikebandit.com and IRC!!!

This is OE tire on my 06 m50. I got 15,000miles and two years of riding. Better traction than dunlaps even after all tread was worn away did not slip even when it was wet. I rode on these tires until I could push my finger thru the rubber on the rear tire. The front tire lasted five years and about 38,000 miles. I've been looking for another set of and found them here. Highly recommend these tires they stick even when wet and bald.
