Trying different tires used Bridgestone - Pirelli - now Metzeler - Never had a rear tire scallop wear before but the Pirelli did? Bridgestone seems to be the best so far.

Honda Silver Wing forum had a lot of good comments about this tire, as did Pirelli Diablo. This is an OEM rated tire so I went with the Metzeler. Great price on bikebandit.

Have a rear on the Bergman 650 The mileage was better than the Bridgestone and I thought I would try a set to see if they ride and were.

I feel it’s a better tire than what is on my bike and I need a tire that lasts longer since I’m a daily rider.
Dennis S on Nov 21, 2017

Good tire for the money
Myron S on Jul 15, 2017
Metzelers have been my tire of choice on my Kawasaki because of ride quality and amount of miles I can get from a set of these tires. I put two new tires on every year because I ride from 14,000 to 18,000 miles per year. I could only get 7,000 miles on factory tires....no brainer!! When I saw that Metzeler has tires for scooters, I purchased this set for another bike that we own.
Joan F on Jun 30, 2017
Been pleased with Metzeler over many years

This is the tire that I have used on my 2009 majesty 400. In my opinion it handles better than the original Dunlops and seems to wear better. I believe in sticking with what works for me, and the Feel Free tires do.

What are the ratings letters stand for?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The letters are a reference to the speed and performance to which your tire can maintain. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help.
Would this tire work on the rear of a Honda CX500 motorcycle(weighs about 450lbs, rider weighs 260lbs), that takes a 130/90/16 ?

I need radial tires.
Benson on Aug 31, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! this tire would not work on your machine as this tire does not meet the weight requirement that your machine is needing. You would need to contact our sales team for assistance on finding a tire for you.
radial or bias ply? Why would I choose one over the other?
null on Mar 19, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question.

It really depends if your model recommends one over the other.
If not here is a definition of Radial and Bias

Bias ply tires--also known as cross-ply tires--are made of plies, which are layers of rubberized textile cords laid on opposing diagonals and anchored around the tire's bead wires. The diagonals are 30 or 45 degrees off the tire's circumferential centerline. Radial tires have reinforced steel cable belts beneath the tire's tread that run 90 degrees to the circumference centerline

Radial tends to be a higher end tire but normaly costs a little more than a Bias tire.

A Good Tire Replacement
I waited awhile to review these tires so we could get some miles on them. They replaced the original Hoop tires on my wife's Honda Silverwing. She is very pleased with them at about 300 miles. The Hoops were basically the same tire as it was from day one so that's why we wanted to try the Metzeler which were a little newer technology. Hope to get many miles.

Tires were a good price. Front tire balanced well, rear tire was a second (blue dot on the bead), took more weight to balance. Didn't know I was buying a second. Tires were put on grooved payment and handled well. Looking forward to see how they wear.
