Have you ever had problems with front tire leaking with no Obvious whole in tire?
gina t on Apr 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Been using these tires for many years with no problems. I've even used these for many miles with plugs, which I do not recommend for safety reasons. They might lose 1-2 lbs. a month, which is not unusual. If you do not see any evidence of leakage in the tire, using a soap solution, check the valve assembly and along the rim..
does it matter which way you turn the front tire ?
Dale m on Aug 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are directional tires so yes it matters which way u mount them If that was the question. The arrow on the sidewall needs to rotate away from the rider.
Do the Metzler ME880 (90/90-21) tires require an inner tube?
A shopper on Apr 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This is a tubeless tire, what determines if you need a tube or not is the wheel that is on your machine. Spoked wheels require a tube when mag wheels do not. I have a VTS1800 S2 with spoked wheels, requiring tubes. Can tubes be used with radial tire, or just bia ply?
David G on Jun 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Almost any tire can be used with an inner tube, unless there are sharp spots in the rim. This is a common solution for rims that leak for no apparent reason. However, tires with tubes are more apt to go flat suddenly, as opposed to tubeless tires that can frequently driven for a short distance with a nail in them or a very slow leak if still inflated..

Type of tire makes no difference.
Can I mount the ME 880 200/70-15 on my 4.5 W x 15 H alloy motorcycle rim?
Gary M on Dec 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello Gary, the 200/70-15 tire is about 8" wide, and if your wheel is 4.5" that is almost half the width. We recommend using a tire that is not so wide. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. Rear Tire on my 2009 Dyna Super Glide And I don't see a 170/60/17 Metzler on the list. What size rear tire do u recommend from your Metzler stock that is the widest I can use on my stock bike?

my rear tire is a ME 880 Marathon 200/50 ZR 17 75W I have a 2008 FXSTSSE2 WILL THE 210 FIT OR IS IT TO WIDE FOR THE FENDER WHAT DOES THE ZR STAND FOR
null on Sep 5, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! If the stock tire tire size for your machine is 200/50-17 then yes the 210 will work fine. The sizes go up about an inch in each size. You may want to check with your mechanic to see if your fender has enough room. If there is anything else we can assist you with just call or click!
whats the manufacture year on these tires?
cbot9 on Mar 18, 2010

Will the 200-15 fit my 15”x7” rim?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. Did you mean the 200/70-15? 200mm (200/xx-xx) converts to 7.87402 inches so technically speaking the tire should fit your wheel. Fitment will be pretty snug. If your machine allows it I would recommend getting more tire. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. Will fit my 05 xl 1200 c screaming eagle that takes 80/90 Dunlop junk screaming eagle bike model?
A shopper on Aug 22, 2019

Also, make sure the load rating and speed index match or exceed the OEM recommendations. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. I have a custom made bike that currently has a ME880 Marathon 210/50-17 rear tire. I noticed the final drive belt is rubbing the edge of the tire. I cannot adjust this with shims. Will a 200/50-17 tire fit the same rim, or possibly a 190/x-17?

Thanks,
bill on Jul 7, 2012
BEST ANSWER: thank you for the question! when you re looking at the tire sizing, the first number will be the width (or footprint) of the rubber on the ground. What you have now will be 210= 210 mm. The 200= 200mm on the ground so this would be a skinnier tire
Hi, I have a 2004 Suzuki Volusia 800. This bike comes with a spoked wheel and originally uses tubes with tires. Do I still need to buy tubes if I buy this tubeless tire?
null on May 16, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! Yes you will still need to put tubes in that tubeless tire.
Some tires are listed ex 180 etc. What does MU or MT reference to on a size. I have a 06 Road King.
The rear can be either a MT90B-16
or a MU85B-16. What is the difference between 90 and 85?
null on Apr 30, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The MT90b-16 is the equivalent of a 130/90-16 and the MU85b-16 is equivalent to a 140/80-16. The 90 and 85 represents how tall the tire is off the rim.

null on Jan 19, 2012

My Dyna Super Glide 2009 needs tires front and rear. I live in the Virgin Islands and our roads are poor and I need a softer tire like the Metzler 880. We have a lot of wet roads at times with many hills and curves. I can have them delivered to my Louisiana address. What tire would best suit my needs. Dunlaps are too hard and traction is poor on our asphalt roads especially during wet road time. Thanks for your consideration, Billy Oberle

I can't praise this tire enough. I've gone through three front tires this season from all different manufacturers and this tire beats them all in handling and wear by a wide margin. My 2002 Mean Streak is on rails since installing it.
