What is the difference between 72/H bias & 72/V radial ?
I don't understand what load rating means or bias vs radial means.
I also don't understand what H vs V is...Please help. I need to but new tires for front and back. Thanks.
null on Oct 26, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the question! The 72H Bias tire has a load index of 783lbs and a speed rating of of 130 mph. The 72/V tire has a load index of 783lbs and a speed rating of 149 mph. We recommend to go with the original tread on the tire and do not mix bias or radial tires.
What is the expected tread life of this tire?
null on Jun 28, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Due to the fact that some riders are aggresive riders and others not so aggresive they do not provide a mileage rating for motorcycle tires.
Do they make a metzeler me 880 in a narrow white wall in a rear 150-80-16 & front 130-90-16?
Scott on Feb 28, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! Metzler does offer the narrow white wall in the ME 880. http://www.bikebandit.com/metzeler-me-880-marathon-motorcycle-tire

What are the best tires for a VTX 1300C. I want tires that are good on the highway, but mainly for the curves on mountain roads.

Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The Metzeler ME 880 would be the best.
i am looking to replace my frount tire on my rocket III, it,s an 150/80-16 metezler me880 with an "H" speed rating, you only list an "V" speed rating. my rear tire is an "H" is it ok to mix different speed rated tires??
BOB THE BARBARIAN on Jul 13, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! It is ok to mix different speed ratings as long as you are not passing MPH range the tires are rated for.
I own XS 1100 Yamaha-Need a rear tire

What is the widest with that I can put on this MC. It has a 17080-15 M/c 77S,
What tire larger in with can I put on my XS 1100 Yamaha,.
Abad on Aug 22, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we are not able to suggest a tire size other than the stock one. You would need to check the owners manual for the machine to see what sizes they are listing for this machine.

Not what I had hoped for
Got these tires for my VTX 1300C because I didn't want the stiff ride the OEM's gave, boy was I disappointed. The front tire is cupping (yes I check pressure all the time) and the rear looks like it has over 10k miles, after less than 5k. They also make a lot of noise when leaning into a corner. Won't be getting these ever again. Looking at something in another brand now. Metzler didn't offer any answers other than "you have to check your pressure alot".

Metzeler 880 ME
I put a 260 on the rear and this 130 on the front. It had Dunlops from factory. This tire tracks better, is smoother, and eliminates worry on wet pavement. You never know when the weather might catch you with in a down pour. Not much worse than cornering and waiting for the tire to slide. This lets you corner as if it was dry, well almost.

Cornering and Leaning Made Easy!!!
This was my first experience buying replacement tires, and with BikeBandit. So far both have been very positive! These Metzlers have been given high praise by my mechanic so I decided to try them on my Suzuki C109R. Obviously tires are probably the most important equipment on a motorcycle, and these tires are a perfect match for those who want a safe good riding tire that can still perform at high speeds in the twisties. I actually have a hard time getting the maximum lean on my 240/50R16 because it adheres to the road so well! Hopefully they will have a good tread life, otherwise so far so good!!
