I read several reviews on this tire singing its praises. I ride in upstate NY so I will mainly ride highway and twisty mountain roads in temperatures between 55 and 90 degrees for the most part. These tires should fit my riding style, I'm excited to put them on, once my current set burns out completely

I have used this tire on my BMW K1300 S. This is maybe the 6th. I get 3000-3500 miles on them. That is 500 more than any other sport tire I have tried. These have good grip. It is a good compromise between a sport touring tire and some of the full on track day tires.

They lasted a while. And I still had fun in my little r3 ripping it up in the canyons like 4 times during life span plus cummuting 60 mi 5 days a week. This my 2nd set. Will buy more.

Have been a follower of the Metzeler brand for quit some time now. I have been very impressed and pleased with their quality and dependability of products. I have been a long fan of Isle of Man, so when Metzeler teamed up with their sponsored pilot Guy Martin and created this tire it was a match made in heaven. Been waiting several years to wear out my existing tires just to purchase these and my existing tires are the Roadtec Z6......Christmas came early.. Thanks Metzeler I'm a proud supporter.

I have used Metzler M1, M3, M5 and M7 - they were increasingly good, except the M3, which I did NOT like at all! The M7 is the best yet, as they went back to a more aggressive (steeper) profile, which I believe (?) was close to the M1. The dual compound also seems to work well. Excellent grip in the wet, which is important to me.

Nice tires and price.
Glenn J on Oct 4, 2017
Excellent rain traction, smoothest turn in feel I have ever felt when riding... no lump/bump just effortless, almost scary at first till you get used to the ease of it. Very good tread life for a sticky tire! A great alternate option if your looking for better tread life than the Dunlop (still a great tire too). They look great on the bike, will buy again!

I have best experience with Metzeler tires on my Motorcycle's and I trust always the newest from Metzeler!
Wulf T. G on Dec 2, 2016
As the weather got colder I wanted something for my 2014 Triumph Street Triple R that handled just like my Pirelli Supercorsa SP V2. The profile of the tire is similar and aggressive. It does ride a little harder though and at knee down I'm not as confident. However, it does a great job with handling bumps without disrupting my line. I'll most likely get a good amount more miles out of them as well judging by my wear at 1500 miles at this point.
Azmi J on Nov 15, 2016
By far the best tires I've used on my Versys!
Larry C on Oct 18, 2016
Proven quality. I Have used them before and performed great.

Past experience with Metzeler tires.
Bruce S on Aug 3, 2016
I wanted an all round tire that was good in the rain as well as in the canyons as I commute 70+ miles every day to work through twisty mountain roads. The online reviews were good and the price was right. Added bonus is the Metzler rebate.

I have put over thirty thousand miles on my 97 VFR. Had a Kawasaki 750 before that. Currently have Michelin Road 5 with a thousand miles on the back. Nothing but Michelin for the last ten years.

This Metzeler 120/60/17 is on the front. I put close to six eleven hundred miles on it. Long desert straights to 115 for a minute or two.
Lucerne Valley up to Big Bear, sea level -200 to 6700 ft in 34 miles. Typical mountain road slow turns,, faster turns, 90 o 270 short bitch turns, and couple straights to 75.

Bottom Line: This is a very good option for the street, non track day rider. Your probably don't need more than 115 but if you do this tire will get you there and back.
If you need to scrape your pegs they will let you hang if you must.

Dry weather.

Pro.
Perfectly balanced.
Quick firm turn in - very stable holds the line and the arc with out pressure input.
Good feedback.

Con.

Maybe not as soft as the Michelin.

I would get it again.

Installed last weekend on my BMW S1000XR. These tires turn in so easy with confidence and come up to temperatures quickly. Have road 500 miles with great predictability. The tires do not get hot after very spirited riding, so i believe they will provide good mileage.

Picked these up to replace the stock M5 on my 2016
390 KTM Duke that had 7000 miles on them.
So far after about 160 miles of break in and starting to gradually lean them over more and more they feel good and inspire confidence in there grip. If they are better than the M5's as advertised, I'm look forward to riding them on the street for a while and maybe some track day use.
