I ride a 1500 nomad and commander 11 tires made this bike a whole different ride. I had the Metzler tire and I was always having to fight the bike in turns and over all handling. Put commander 11 on and what a difference in the way it handled . highly recommend this tire. Also got 4000 more miles out of this tire then the Meltzer. Try them I know you will like them.

I am going on a trip that will be over a month on the road, thru mountains, deserts, plains, and mostly 2 lane adventurous roads... Although I love my Pirelli MT66 Route 66 tires, it appears these tires will give me 2000-3000 more miles of wear on the rear tire….At that rate I can make the whole trip without a scheduled maintainence stop with a little luck with these tires and that trusty Amsoil Oil.. Worth a try for only a $50 difference in a set..
Duane C on Dec 29, 2019
best tire

I have loved the ride and feel of the Commander II on my 07 Fatboy. I ride hard, fast and long! My bike has 85k+ and this is my 2nd rear since switching from the Dunlop. They have done well in the rain and on long trips. They wear even as long as you are mindful to stay out of the far left lane on long trips.

Recommended tires for 2011 touring road glide ultra , front and rear ?
A shopper on Jun 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. Do you have a FLTRU, FLTRUSE, or FLTRX? The factory recommended tire sizes do vary depending on what specific model you are inquiring about. The 2011 FLTRU (Road Glide Ultra) uses a 130/80-17 front and 180/65-16 rear. The 2011 FLTRUSE (CVO Road Glide Ultra) uses a 130/70-18 front and 180/55-18 rear. The FLTRX (Road Glide Custom) uses a 130/70-18 front and 180/65-16 rear. Keep in mind, these are factory recommended sizes but you can most definitely run other sizes. Hey guys, going to be needing a new front and rear tire next Spring for my 2003 Fat Boy and was looking at The Michelin Commander ll Good choice for that particular bike ? Thanx.
Darren P on Aug 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Darren, thank you for the question. Do you know if your bike has bias-ply tires on both the front and rear? My records show me the OE recommended sizes for the 2003 Fat Boys but does not specify bias or radial construction. I would make sure the load index and speed rating match or exceed OE specifications, and that that you pick the same construction. Just found a forum online, people mention the Metzeler 888, Dunlop E III's, and Michelin Commander II's for their Fat Boy. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. I have had good luck with the Michelin Brand on my r1200rt cycle. I want to put a set on my 2007 BMW f650gs, which sizes do you recommend as the current sizes that are on the bike do not match what you show in inventory?
David J on Aug 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: David, thank you for the question. According to our records, the 2007 BMW G650GS came with a 100/90-19 front and 130/80-17 rear from factory, both of which we have in the Michelin Commander II. We always recommend you stick to OE sizing and that you make sure the load index/speed rating meets or exceeds the recommended specs. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. Rear tire is 180/60R16, but Michelin only has aspect ratio of 65. Will this size still fit my bike?
Mark G on Jul 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Mark, thank you for the question. The tire will be the same width but will have a slightly taller profile than your current tire. It should fit just fine but it doesn't hurt to take some measurements for clearance for peace of mind. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. whats the difference of mt and mh on front tire?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Gerald, The two major differences are the size and load index. They both take different size wheels, one take a 21" wheel and the other takes a 16" wheel. The tire that accepts a 21" wheel can only handle 467 pounds safely while the tire that accepts a tire 16" wheel can hold up to 783 pounds safely. BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! If your machine does not have inner tube you will not need inner tubes for this tire. But if you do need inner tubes you'll just need to order a tube that is the same size as the tire. I see it gets more mileage, but on average how many miles can I can i expect to get from these tires?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2016

What is the difference between the commander ll 130/90 and the mt90?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the question! the 130/90-16 will have a maximum width of about 142 and a maximum diameter of 657 while the MT90 will have a 136 and 643. That and the load capacity will be different. Also the 130/90-16 is reinforced. Bike Bandit is fast!
Price was a tad cheaper than competitors shipped, the tires landed on my front porch in 3 days, always faster than estimated delivery...as for the tires they were pretty fresh stock, 1 was 6 months old, the other right at a year... But still very fresh for bike tires...I bought them for stock.. I won’t be mounting them till just before a month on the road in Aug/Sept...I like dealing with these guys...

Good replacement tires for original Dunlops
Ive had stock Dunlops, Metzlers and now Michelins. Biggest noticeable difference was from Dunlops to Metzlers. Waaay mor stale feeling on a Road King. Dunlops to Michelins on a softail was good but not as dramatic. I went from stock MH90_21 to 9090_21 on the front and feel that small width increase was helpful also.
