I currently run Pilot Actives on my R100/7 BMW for two reasons. First, they are available in inch sizes, which is what my bike was designed to use. Second, they provide very positive handling and traction across a wide range of road conditions. You pay a price for the traction in that I only get about 4000 miles out of a rear tire.
Robert S on Apr 30, 2020
I put this on my Goldwing Trike Backwards last 3 times as long.
M R on Jan 17, 2020

Hello, I have a Honda cb400 with original rims and I am looking for some vintage or new style tires the front is 19 and rear 18 but what my major request is when you look at the bike to look like the rear and the front are the same size that means a bigger size on rear.
Can you pls advise?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hey, I'm not sure I understand your question. My bike has the same setup, hard to tell from the side that the front is bigger; but it is always evident. No tire will add enough to the overall diameter as far as I think, but I've never put too much thought into it. When I do think about it though, the increase in height will come with an increase in width. The increase in width can throw the dynamics of a bike off, but maybe not to the point of it being unsafe. However it will affect mpg, traction, road feel and the way you lean into a turn. Tires have to be just wide enough to avoid spinning out based on the brake horse power but not so wide that the extra grip decreases mileage per gallon, there is a comfortable medium but the calculations are beyond me. To be honest, I did step up one or two sizes in rear WIDTH just for the look. I felt a difference but I got used to it in a day or two. I hope this helps, it may be more than you asked for and may introduce things that you don't want to think about. Sry

Would the tire 110-100-18 be fit on front of Honda rebel cmx 250?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. According to our records, a 1985 Honda CMX250C Rebel uses a 3.00-18 front tire which converts to a 90/90-18. This should work on your bike, I'm pretty sure the original tire that came with was a bias-ply as well so I would recommend sticking to that set up. I am considering Michelin Pilot Activ tires for my 1982 BMW R65. The owner's manual says I should use a 4.00-10 on the rear wheel and the Michelin fitment chart says I should use a 120/90-18. What is the difference and which should I use? I plan on using a 90/90-18 on the front.

I own a 1979 CB 750-F Super Sport Honda. I need to replace the tires. I know what size the rear tire is (120-90-18H) (ME 88). Can I use a 90/90x18 front and a 4.00x18 rear for a 1975 Yamaha RD350. The original tire size is a 3.00x18 rear and a 3.50x18 front. Is the side wall aspect different? I am told a 110/80x18 is a good rear size metric. Thanks.
vintage2strokestreet on Jul 11, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thansk for your question! You may use those sizes on your machine but you may want to check with a mechanic on this to make sure your machine will run ok with those size tires on it.

Heard about this from a friend I have an 02 HONDA Goldwing trike mounted the. REAR TIRE 130-70 R18 on the front. Rotation is backwards. Best front tire for trike I have found handles great wet or dry. Wears like iron am very happy with it. Don’t worry about tire being bias on a trike. Great tire.
