adam m on Jul 6, 2020
I chose this set of tires because they are the best. This tire makes me feel comfortable and glued to the road at all times. Rain or shine, incredible performance. I trust my life to these. As a long time mechanic and a well experienced rider, I would never buy anything but brand new michelin pilots or Road's for my bikes. I never waver from this one rule of motorcycle safety. This is essential gear. Thank you Michelin for this amazing product!
Andras C on Jun 28, 2020
In years of use on multiple sport bikes I have found the 2CT to be a well rounded tire suitable for serious weekend sport riding but with a center tread that provides acceptable life when bike is also used for weekday commuting.

Great tire...I've been riding the 2CT's on VFR800 for years. I don't ride anything else.
Paul J on Apr 12, 2020
Was recommended as a great tire because of the dual compound. Should make for a better tire giving theres mostly straights around me. My last tire is completely gone in the middle, but still nice tread on the sides. On top of that, Michelin is manufactured in the USA. Support local.

What is the widest rear tire I can run on a stock 2011 triumph thruxton 900 rim?Stock size is a 130 80 17. I have roughly an inch between the sidewall and chain.
Ronnie K on Jun 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Ronnie, thank you for the question. According to some online forums, a number of people mention swapping the rear 130/80-17 for a 150/70-17. Whether this will be the ideal set up on your machine or not I am not sure, hopefully it works for you. Handling and cornering will change. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help
I have a 09 gsx-r600 with a rear tire of 180/55/17. Will a 190/50/17 fit and what exactly is the difference between the two? thanks
A shopper on Mar 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. The 190/50/17 will fit. Depending on the type of riding you do, you might not notice a big difference. If you're commuting and doing some highway riding, you probably won't notice or feel any difference at all. If you're doing some cornering or hitting some twisty roads, you'll notice a difference in handling due to the sidewall being pinched. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help.

Will a 200/55/17 fit a stock 03 CBR 954RR?
Jonathan B on Jun 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! The 2003 CBR954 requires a 190/50-17, if you go with a 200/55/17, the tire will be wider and may rub on some of the suspension and drive train components. Also since the tire will be wider that stock, the bike may handle differently, so far safety reason we can only recommend the original size tire. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. WILL THE 190/55-17 FIT ON A 4.5" WHEEL? THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
A shopper on May 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This tire size will mount on a 4.5 wheel, but we do recommend using the original size tire your machine came with for safety reasons. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll free at 1-888-339-3888. It appears that the front tire size I need is only available in a Z (148 mph) while the rear tire size is only available in a W (168 mph). Since my 2006 Ninja 650r's top speed is rated at 147, it is unlikely I would ever reach 148 mph. Would there be any potential problems if I ran the Z in front and W in the rear? Currently, both tires on the 650r are Z rated. Thanks in advance.
Ninja 650r Commuter on Feb 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Great question! There would be no issues with running tires with different speed ratings. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
i need a tire with a hard center and a softer sides because that was what i was told because of how i ride so what i want toask is the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT Motorcycle Tire made like that
Gravy on Feb 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! Yes the is a dual compound tire to suit your needs.
what is the difference between the W and Z rated tire?
null on May 16, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The W is rated up to 168 mph and the z is rated to 149 mph.
How old are these tires?
Skid on Apr 25, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The tires will be new coming straight from michelin.
I have an 07 ZX-10r(stock) and have been thinking about buying the 2CT's for my bike. I've heard everything from they're the best tire to probs w/balancing, tire pressure, straight line wobble at speed, drifting in turns etc. Your opinion is appreciated. I would describe my riding as aggressive street and occasional track riding. Thanks,
-Ronnie-
null on Apr 6, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for writing in. We have had none or very few complaints about this tire . It is designed for aggressive riding but is also a compound that is not going to wear out fast, which is common with tires specific for track use. This tire would be for someone who does commuting or regular street riding that also wants to go fast occasionally.
What is the weight of the tire?
Ferbare on Oct 28, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! Unfortunately the manufacturer has not supplied us with the weight of the tire. You may want to contact Michelin directly for this information.
Will it fit on my bike?

Do you think a 190/55 ZR 17 tire will fit on my 2003 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636 Ninja? Currently I run a a 180/55 zr 17, but I want a wider tire and I want to know if a 190 will be too big or even if it will go on my rim?
Dubldip on Mar 29, 2010
BEST ANSWER: It will fit but if you like to hit the curves I would not advise it, it will throw off you curve alinement.
what is the difference between the Z and W in the pilot power ct?
mutto on Mar 10, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The letters you are viewing would be speed ratings, the W speed rating would be good for up to 168mph and the Z would be good up to 186mph or above

Bike bandit made finding my tires easy and painless. The price was even better than Amazon.
These were the tires I wanted and I actually got them cheaper through bikebandit that I would have through Amazon. It took a little longer than expected to get them, but with the current pandemic going on, I was patient. My baby now has new tires and I can go for rides once again.
