pilot road 4 rear tire BMW R1200R
Typical Michelin quality, probably the best motorcycle tires available for road use. Next time will try the PR 5. Easily get 10K miles on rear tire.

Best tire for My Bike
I have been running the Michelin tires for many years now and will continue to do so. They grip as well as a softer low mileage tire and last longer. I could even get 5000 more miles on mine if the roads weren't graded to the right for drainage. The wear line just left of center drives me crazy. I ride daily to work, in the rain and draw the line at weather below 35 degrees F. The bike is a 2004 BMW K1200RS.

Nice tire
Just got new Michelin meat on my Honda Rune! Customer service at Bike Bandit was very helpful in advice on what style and brand of tire i should run for my riding style. Tire looks great and connects with the road very solid! Time will tell as far as longevity and I will update on that at a later time. Highly recommend purchasing from Bike Bandit, I will buy from them again!

Good tire
I have had PR4's on previous bikes. This tire is on front of a much heavier sport tourer. Time will tell if I still achieve ~17k miles like I did on my middle weight bike.

Happy with it so far, have not put enough miles on to make a sound review yet. Does not follow tar snakes, a good thing.

Cold Sheets
Have you ever spent all day working in the yard or garage on a hot summers day, and you come inside to take a shower and then want to crawl into bed. As you crawl into bed you discover that your wife has just cleaned the sheets and they are cool and crisp. You're muscles are sore and tired but you seam to quickly relax and end up having an amazing night's rest. That feeling of tranquility is nothing comparted to how these tire ride. I bought them for my GSX-S 1000F, which I've owned for a couple years. I have never felt so stable and confident heading into a corner as I have with these tires. I have only put ~1000 miles on them so I can't speak to longevity or wear, but I can speak to their performance and the confidence that they promote as you dive into the twisties. Regardless of wear, I don't know if I'll ever buy another tire.

I've tried Dunlop's, Metizer, and Bridgestone tires on my bikes and they don't wear and ride as well as the Michelins.
This is the second set of Michelin I have purchased for my 2012 BMW R1200RT. The Pilot 3's gave me 15340 miles of service. So far I've put around a 1000 miles on this set of Pilot Road 4's. Interstate, back roads, wet and dry, pulling a Unigo trailer some of it and they have worked well.
Also using Michelin's On my 1988 BMW K75 under the same conditions and happy with those so far.

I run the Michelin Pilot Road 3 GT on my BMW K1200S and absolutely LOVE them for Traction in all types of Road Conditions. 6,000 Miles and still a few thousand miles left on the Rear and as much as 10,000 Miles left on the Front. I ran the Pilot Road 3 Trails on my older BMW R1200GSA and the Front went 16,000 Miles. The Rear got half that but I absolutely loved them.

I've been through the series of Michelin Pilot tires for my '03 K1200RS since I bought the bike in '08. The tires perform well in all conditions. I decided to try the GT this year to see if I can squeeze a few more miles from them over the standard PR tires. The K12 is a heavy bike, and wears the tires preferentially left of center.
rxpx40 on Jul 27, 2018

I've had good experience with Michelin motorcycle tires in the past. This is the tire that Michelin recommends for the Yamaha FJR 1300. I've read good reviews posted by others for this tire.

Keith W on Mar 10, 2018
These are great tires for a BMW 1200RT. This is my third or fourth set. Sticky in corners and great on wet pavement too. I do a fair amount of two up riding fully loaded which is why I like the GT variety with the heavier sidewalls.
Michael S on Mar 7, 2018
I am satisfied with a similar recent purchase. Also, I like the tire's performance.

The tire description was helpful.
jeff s on Mar 4, 2018
Excellent tires for my 1999 vfr800. I have over 15,000 miles on my first set and the rear tire is still like new. I am replacing the front tire only because I do use my front brake 90% of the time. Best tires ever, in the 35 yrs I have been riding. I am a fan!
timothy c on Mar 2, 2018
After many hours of research and consulting with others in search of a tire that would be great for commuting in all types of weather, I decided on the Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT. Riding in the rain requires the best, in my opinion.

I bought a set of Michelin GT fours for my motorcycle so 97 Suzuki Bandit 1200 S the owner's manual says 36 PSI but on these tires it says 42 pounds cold front and rear what should I run?
A shopper on May 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have a Yamaha FJR1300 that I run these on. My bike originally came with Bridgestone BT023's and my manual says to run 36F 42R. I did that for a year or two and those tires (mainly front) wore out at about 5k miles. I now run Michelin's at 42F 42R and get about at least 10K out of them. The general consensus with FJR owners is to run 42/42. My belief is to run what's on the tire.
Trying to decide between the pilot 4 and the pilot 4 GT. Are there different uses/applications. I live on the west coast of Canada....so a fair share of wet weather. And I'm often with a passenger and luggage.
The bike is a 2003 bmw 1150 rt.
Thanks
Jonathan
Or perhaps you'd recommend a different tire altogether?
