Tire brand changeover
One of my favorite sport bikes in my stable of bikes is, my vintage1984 Honda Nighthawk 700SC. I have been running Bridgestone Battlax BT45r's since my first change out. I decided to try something different since I was bringing her out from a two year storage. I chose the Perelli based on it's racing history and reputation for reliablity. I like the sig zag center grove to eliminate the road grove shift while channeling away the water. And, the tire has a beefy, modern profile. The price was reasonable as well. Thanks for making such a great tire that fits the performance of my vintage bike.

Beat tire on the market
These are the beat tires I have ever put on my bike. They last a long time and have really nice grip. I live in Arizona and needed a tire that could stand up to the summer heat and these have stood up to the test. These are the only brand I will buy!

I love this tire
I'm on my 3rd set of Sport Demons. They are perfect for a vintage bike that needs a bias ply tire and gets ridden hard. Tons of grip even when wet. I get about 4,000 miles out of the rear and about 12,000 miles out of the front on my Kawasaki kz650.

Awesome job Bike Bandit. I will be back and will recommend you.
Totally happy with tires, the service and especially the shipping. Last tires I purchased online from another vendor, came wrapped up so tight, I had a very hard time getting the tires aired up as the beads were practically touching. These tires came wrapped but with heavy duty cardboard spacers so they mounted and aired up very easily.

Heavy steering, but seems planted.
So this 110/90-16V front is mounted on a 16" rim for an '89 Kawasaki 750R Ninja with 57k miles. It originally came with Dunlaps and I repeated the OEM for the second set. I switched to Metzler Lasertec's for the next 3/4 sets and loved them. A local dealer recommended Bridgestone BT45's for the previous set to these Demons. I did not like the BT45's because they seemed to induce head shake, a lot. I never saw any serious cupping, but it got worse the thinner the tread became. And the mileage was not my normal 5-7.5k miles per front, (about 3k). I live in the mid-west so no switch backs, but tons of 100+ sweepers.

The tire showed up after UPS decided to ship it completely past my location to Colorado for 10 days until I called them and asked if they could bring it back to Illinois... The tire had a normal appearance except for the lack of slick surface after a mold release. Taking a closer look, it appeared to have an orange peel appearance. No big deal, just an observation.

I only have ~150 miles on the Demons so my opinion is limited. Sorry, but I figured the "review period" would expire. I immediately noticed my steering effort was much greater, like 4x. I went back and checked my cables, steering stem/bearings, and fork alignment since I pull my own rim and take in just the wheels to get the new tire mounted. Everything seemed fine. While I have become accustom to the new level of commitment, the head shaking is all gone. Maybe I threw a wheel weight. Still scrubbing the tires in so I have not pushed the lean issue to my normal chicken strip level, but they feel well planted and stable through the curves while changing lean levels, braking transitions and throttle applications.

It seems my preferred Lasertec's have fallen off in quality from the reviews I read, cracked sidewalls, et cetera. If they perform in the wet as good as the Metzler's (superb), and give me my normal mileage, I will order them again.

Sorry the photos shows the BT45's.

Riding a motorcycle is like being on the world's best roller coaster. You can make it as exciting or sedate as you want, it lasts for as long as you want, and there is no line!

Balance between durability and performance.
I commute year round in Northern Cali. Rarely an aggressive rider, but I like launching off from a stoplight. With some caution, these tires have served me well through wet winters and average 10k miles for rear tires and 18k miles for front tires. Im on my 3rd front tire and 3rd (almost 4th) rear tire at 38k miles for my 2015 Zero S.

Good For Commuting
I mounted a 110/90 x 18 on the rear wheel of my Suzuki DR200S. It is a heavy tire, and provides a solid comfortable ride on the street or highway. Good alternative to the dual sport tires that are not as smooth on the tarmac.

This is not a super sticky supermoto tire.

great handling, sticky tire. front tire doesn't last as long as metzler lasertec though rear lasts twice as long mileage-wise. my moto guzzi needs a V rated tire (100/90V-18 no longer made in this size) and this (110/90V-18) is the closest size that will fit.

As others have commented, these aren't the longest lasting tires, but they are the stickiest and, in my view, more safe than others I've tried. They instill much more confidence than my Michelin tires ever did.

I have a '83'VT-500 ascot that will be used on back roads the stock tires that came with it are a 3.50S-18 front and a 4.25S-18 rear. I like what i am reading about the Pirelli sport demon tires but am not sure of the new sizing? I'm 5'10"x185lbs.and an ex. road racer from the 70s who still enjoys the twistys(:-)
null on Jun 20, 2012
BEST ANSWER: One inch = 25.4mm. 3.5 x 25.4 = 88.9, so use a 90mm width. Match the circumference of the old and new tires as closely as possible. You will probably need an aspect ratio of 90. That means you will probably need to buy a 90/90-18 tire for the front.
Same thing for the rear: 4.25 x 25.4 = 107.95, so use a 110mm width. Same as the front for circumference to determine the required aspect ratio. Therefor, you will probably need to buy a 110/90-18 for the rear.
I have these on my BMW, my riding style sounds similar to yours, and I love the Demons. The only bad part is the mileage: I've worn out the rear in about 5000 miles, but that's the price you pay for all that grip.
Good luck, have fun and ride safe. Hope this has helped.
I have a 1988 Kawasaki ninja 750 and I am looking for a good durable tire that has a good performance (cornering) and decent price. Would this be a good choice in tire? I am a casual rider who occasionally likes to take curvy roads with speed and agility accustom to a Kawasaki. She is a big bike and she carries a lot of speed that I would like the option to use safely.
