Good quality tires for a reasonable price.
Leonard S on Jul 6, 2019
This is my second set of these tires. They make my 2006 VTX 1300C handle like a much lighter, agile bike. Often forget not to lean as much as I would on a sport bike, they feel that stable in turns. Have been in some bad rain and the tires are very grippy on wet roads. They do wear a little fast, but at the price it's not hard to throw a new set on.
Mark W on Jul 5, 2019

Would you buy this for a Harley sportster?
Todx S on Jun 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! It's really a personal preference along with the style of riding you do. Skip provided some insight on the tire, it's a hard tire and takes about 500-1k to break in. So if I had to purchase tires for my Sportster I would definitely consider these tires. After reading some reviews it seems this tire does not have a good load rating.

You list the rigth size for my 1999 Suzuki intruder 1500. Are these tires good for this mike?
Pete on Jan 27, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I checked with Shinko, and they are perfect for this bike.

I ordered the tires from BikeBandit, and the numbers match the size and rating for this bike.

They are absolutely wonderful tires !!!

See letter from Shinko below.
Hi Peter,
They are plenty heavy for your bike, max load for those sizes is 761 lbs front and 882 lbs rear.

Thanks,

I have a 1965 Yamaha YJ2S. And I am looking to put a bigger set of tires on it. Will these tires work with no problems? Or will it be more trouble then its worth? I have on it now a Shinko 244 2.50-17.
2cycledude on Oct 31, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! 2.50/2.75-17 would convert to a metric size of 80/90-17 for a front tire. The Shinko 230 Tour Master Motorcycle Tire does not list a size which will work as a replacement for the required size needed. It is recommended to contact the sales department as they will be able to assist you further with locating the correct tires.
I have a 2005 Honda VTX1800s with spokes rims. I've had it 4 months and time for a tire change. The tires on it now say tubeless, but wikipedia and general knowledge says spiked rims need tubes. These tires say they fit my bike and are tubeless....do I need tubes?
A shopper on Jul 13, 2019

How many miles will the tires last?
Mark S on Mar 30, 2019

can you mix a v and an h for my 1200 sportster?
A shopper on Jun 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. You can mix the speed ratings on your motorcycle, but you will be limited to the lowest speed rating. Not that you should be hitting those speeds anyway.... Which tires to use on my stock 1981 Yamaha 750 Seca? I'm NOT an agressive rider! Mostly country roads, in NE Pa. Thanks!
A shopper on Jul 18, 2019

Are these tires good for a 2097 Yamaha v star 1100 custom? I am concerned about the load rating. I am 6’ 245 pounds
Barry R on Jul 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Barry, do you come from the future? I don't even know what the 2097 model looks like! All jokes aside, thank you for the question. The 2007 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom weighs in at about 593 ibs (dry) and uses a 110/90-18 front and 170/80-15 rear tire. These tires have load ratings of 61 and 83 which should be just fine. I would recommend comparing the load rating to your current set up as well for quality assurance. How to check rim size?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. Rim size on these tires is determined by the third number of the tire size. For example, a 110/90-18 is for an 18" rim. If you are referring to checking what size rims are currently on your bike, you would have to remove the tire from the rim and measure the diameter. Would these be good tires for a Yamaha royal star. Bike weight is 800 lbs. Without anyone on it?
A shopper on Jun 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. According to our records, the size required for the Yamaha Royal Star is 150/80-16 front and 150/90-15 rear (double check your sizes) which both have a load index that will support the weight of your bike weight plus a rider. These tires are specifically designed to carry heavy loads for long distances in all weather conditions. Im trying to get bigger tires on my 250 honda rebel what would be the beat aize to get??
Cesar B on Jun 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Cesar, thank you for the question. You might want to take some measurements to see how much clearance you have both front and rear first. Basing my reply off of a 2016 Rebel 250, the manufacture calls for a 3.00-18 front and 130/90-15 rear. You can probably get away with a 100/90 or 110/90 on the front and a 140/80 or 140/90 in the rear. Again, take some measurements first. Check for clearance from fenders, plastics, and the swing arm, as well as at full lock. Great tires !!!
Wow !!! I took the " Dual Purpose " tires off of my Yamaha SCR 950 " RETRO " bike and put these tires on it . Now it's like having power steering !!! No more losing traction in the corners on the pavement . Now it's a pleasure to ride , instead of worrying about sliding off of the pavement !!!
