This is my third Shinko 712 rear tire. It is a good tire at a good price and in my opinion better than the Shinko 230 rear tire which I used once. The Shinko 230 front tire is a good tire, but based on my experience with the Shinko 712 rear I figured it is time to try the 712 front tire.

Will a 100/90/18 fit properly on a 2,15 x 18 rear rim? It's for a 73 Honda CB450. I think it uses a stock 1.85 x 18 rim. I have to have a new rim and want to make sure the rim size is correct.

Razor on Jun 10, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! Your front tire cross references to a 90/90-19 and your rear tire cross references for a 110/90-18. The rear will work, the closest front size we will have available is a 100/90-19 which is about 10mm wider.
I have a 130 / 80/ 17 on a dx500 Ninja. I only see a 130/90/17 on the shinko 712 tire list. Will that tire work on my bike.
Thanks.
null on Jun 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Good question! That size difference will be a taller aspect ratio(profile of tire) by 10mms. So you would have to measure to see if you can accomodate the taller tire and still clear fender ok.
my question is i have a 79 suzuki gs425 and the tire size on there now is the front is a 3.50-18 and the rear is 4.00-18 so i am wondering will 100/90-18 work on the front and will a 120/90-18 work on the rear

I have a 1978 kawasaki KZ 650b2a that i just purchased and i am just a little confused on the tire sizes. My owners manual calls for 3.25h-19 4pr or ml90-19 b2 for the front. and 4.00h-18 4pr or mn90-18 b4 for the rear. I also need tubes. Are these old sizes or what.If they are, what are the new sizes that i need to fit the bike.P.S. They are spoke wheels. This is what is holding me back from ordering new tires. Thanks N.O.B
N.O.Biker on May 17, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your Question! Tire size 3.25X19 = 100/90X19 Front & 4.00X18= 110/100X18 Rear. What we did is convert your tire size in Inch to Metric.

Gets the job done, for a good price
Bought this Shinko to replace the exact same tire that had 6000+ miles on it--dealer commented that the original tire even still had a good amount of life left in it, but I wanted to err on the side of caution and replace. Rides great, grips well, and the price is right. I ride on the streets on NYC, so dropping big $$$ on a tire isn't in the cards. That being said, it's handled every road condition I've thrown at it with ease. Looks good on my Triumph Bonneville too.
