ramwing on Jan 28, 2010

What does the double white wall look like?

How wide are the stripes and how far apart are they?
Are these suitable for front and rear applications?

Thanks,
Phil
Studeydude on Oct 31, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! With the Double whitewall listed that would just be another portion of white line, so the white area would be about 50% bigger on the double version.
Are these single or double whitewall?

Trying to fit a 1963 Honda 305 Dream--original size front and rear was 3.25 X 16. How does this compare to the MT90-16 size?
How big is the stripe on the single stripe whitewall?
Would the same tire work for front and rear applications?

Thanks!
Phil
Studeydude on Oct 31, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! With the Shinko Classic 240 Motorcycle Tire that your looking at this would be a single stripe whitewall, this one would be compatible for front and rear use that would be correct.

Great tires for the money and got that old school look ??
Replaced my shinko 270 tires with these on my 73 Shovelhead .... they have a heavier load range than the 270’s which is what I needed. Rides great good handling, can’t beat them for the price!!! And they have that Goodyear speedgrip look which is what came on my bike originally ??????

Tires look the part if you want that classic looking tire, I just took them on a 600 mike ride and they didn’t do to shabby, I have had better tires though.
So if your building a cool little bar hopper these are great, if your taking it on long windy roads...... maybe look else where

Good tire
I have to be honest.. I was a little leary on purchasing this tire because of the price "You get what you pay for" in most cases. Once mounted the tire looks great! I was surprise at how well it handles on the turns and how it sticks to the road. I push this tire hard at times and so far so good. Bottom line? Excellent tire for the money.

Great budget vintage tire.
I've been putting these on my sportster chopper builds for a few months now. They look really great with the double white wall. Can't really beat the value for price of these. They have held up very well even without balancing them. Not the most high performance tire I've ever used by a long shot but I was expecting that.

Durable tire
Decent tire rad vintage look, I have over 10000 mi on mine and its got a little life on it still. Did pretty well off road for a street tire. Doesn't instill confidence in corners but that's really the only downer, awesome for commuting
