Ordered one a couple of years ago. I ride my GL1500 like a sport bike at times. Tire responds well and is very grippy considering the weight of the bike.
Paul W on May 29, 2020
they look like a good tire
Dennis U on May 28, 2020
Reviews were good and I have spoke with others about them as well. The price didn't hurt either. Time will tell curious about the lack of a tread down the middle and how well these will last.

They only last around 11k to 12 k on the 1500 Goldwing just got a 1800 so I thought I'd buy 1 for each bike for the rear yeah I could spend 90 to 130 more on a rear tire but why 2k thousand miles more on a rear with Dunlop or 1500 with other brands I can take 1 hour and 45 mins to change a tire out on the 1500 wing. and 35 mins on the 1800.
Jeff S on Mar 28, 2020
I have this same model tire on the rear and feel it is a very good tire
Keith K on Mar 26, 2020
I have a 2012 GL1800 Comfort,NAV,ABS and have put 15000 miles on my Shinko SE890 tires with no problems. The only reason I am replacing because front tire a little cupped but less than other tires I have uses. I will use beads in this tire change to eliminate the cupping. I think these tires would go another 5000 highway miles.
Charles A on Mar 12, 2020
I like the tread design and yes, the price. I wanted to go with the Commander ll but does not fit my Honda VTX 1800N. Also reviews are great on this tire. Will comment after long trip planned if the Corona Virus lets me. 72 Years old. Thanks Bike Bandit for great prices. Joe Makin.
Emil M on Mar 5, 2020
I have used shinko tires for years on my heavy cruisers. I am happy with the price and the longevity of the tire. They last about 10 to 12 thousand miles.
Joseph L on Mar 1, 2020

Times are tough, need my bike on the road without paying $600 for tires that will get the same amount of mileage.
Paul P on Dec 12, 2019
I am a 4 season rider in Texas where you can have 4 seasons in the same day, for ride-ability, durability, and cost effectiveness these tires work very well on my Goldwing 1800. W/ 13K miles + on the 1st set this will be the second set of SE890's.
John S on Dec 2, 2019
Cheap Radials that will last me at least 10,000 miles. Great tread design and looks great on my bike.

I have heard great reviews from other riders who use this tire on the VTX 1800. I usually use Avon Cobra, and for the price, it's worth checking out.

Price. Never tried Shinko, but have heard good things from those who have. Tread pattern very similar to Avon Cobra tires.

I had good results on a 750cc cruiser , tired the SE890 Shinko for my Victory Cross Country , pleased with the results , i expected hard compound tire for high mileage, not a wet rain rider i can manage that for the price value

How will the ride characteristics change when running these radials front a d back on my gl1500?
Scott on Jul 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question Jefferey. These tires perform well in a straight line and on cornering. You will find them to be a good addition to most bikes. One thing I would recommend is referring to your current tires for the load index just to make sure they are comparable to your current set up and proper for your specific bike. What’s the difference between a 180/60-16 and a
180/65-16 ?
A shopper on Feb 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 60 will have a slightly shorter side wall. The 180 is the width (180 mm), the 60 (or 65) is the side wall in percentage relative to the width, So the 60 sidewall is 60% of the 180 width, and of course the 65 is 65% of the sidewall width. So for instance a 100/60 is 100 mm wide and 60 mm sidewall (60% of 100). And the wheel size of course is the 16 portion. Hope this helps.
Is this tire recommended for 2002 Honda Goldwing
biggin on May 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! This tire is designed for heavyweight cruiser machines like yours. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
How recently were these tires manufactured?
A shopper on Mar 20, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee that but we do know most if not all our tires are usually within a year of the manufacture date. We do not stock large amounts of tires at our location so most tires are shipped directly from the tire manufacturer's closest warehouse to you. This would be the freshest stock they have on hand that is being shipped from these locations. We, unfortunately, we do not have a way to verify which date you would get on your tire. All tires sold by BikeBandit.com are well within the manufacturer's suggested shelf life for tires. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
Is this tire hard or soft ?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! The radial construction of this tire will allow it to be more forgiving and flexible than a Bias tire making it feel softer. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. We are always more than happy to help.

shinko SE890 Goldwing tires
I would rate Bike Bandit service from the order to delivery as 5 stars. I have the tires installed on my 2007 Goldwing. I have only put about 1000 miles on them at this time but am very satisfied with how they have performed. They feel very stable, will have to wait a little longer to determine their tread life.

Put these on my GL1800
I had no previous experience with Shinko. I bought a used Goldwing and the dealer put a new Shinko on the rear. Ran it for over 12K before it cupped out and could feel the roughness. Decided to put Shinko on front and rear and used balancing beads to keep in balance. Rides like a new bike. Hopefully get a little more life by keeping in balance. Chose Shinko because of price and decent life from the previous tire.

I’ve always run Dunlop’s on my VTX1800 but decided to try a Shinko on the front . though I have only ridden a few hundred miles I am very pleased. Bike handles so much better, if mileage is anywhere close to the twice expensive Dunlop I’ll be a Shinko fan for life

Excellent price
I had talked to a few people that had Shinko Tires on their bikes, everyone was satisfied. I have had mine for about a month and put about 500 miles on them, no complains. The tire rides well, good traction, and hold the road well in the twisties. I ride a Victory Cross Roads Eight Ball, the tires suit the bike well. Very Happy.
